Brown, Chriss, Burke, Frank and Green on the floor trying to bring Mavs back in the game. Put together, that's not even a good Gleague lineup.

This team should go 9-2 at least in the last 11, everyone should be back, 6 games at home.

Yeah, I think Bucks will rest their players, and Mavs should split Minny.
If Mavs are serious this year they should beat the Jazz.
Cavs will be a loss.

Do we have any idea of a possible Hardaway return?

Wouldn't count on it, he was still in walking boot 2-3 weeks ago.

Thank you. Still can't believe people defend him. He's the worst player in the NBA

Luka was great tonight. Too bad Brunson looked like garbage after yesterday’s stellar performance.

Will Harrell solve Mavs frontcourt rotation problem this summer?

Luka alone on the Island. What a trash game for the supporting cast.

Oh well the problem is our ninth rotation man Bertans...when our center is garbage, our second best player disappers again versus long defender and our best wing can't make a shoot.
Burke can't play. Waste space.

Dinwiddie is too important for us. No question.
And Bullock? Does he intend to return to play? Is he alive?
Try Boban?

Bad rotation by Kidd too.

He was a no show in the PO. Of course better than Powell but he is so limited.

That's exactly what Mavs are. They can win, if they can somehow forced low tempo/low scoring game. They don't have enough fire power for games like yesterday. No 10 days contract or another cheap big will change that. THJ and Dinwiddie would have helped of course, but I'm not sure that even they would have been enough. Hornets were just too hot for this very average offensive Mavs' team.

If you limit Luka's playmaking, you're always very close to win, because others are mostly just role players capable of hitting open shots, sometimes. Nets have very similar problems without Kyrie.

Brunson's biggest problem is that he's basically smaller Luka without playmaking.

Yes the problem was the defense, we can't win a 130 points battle.
We can't win a 3 points contest against Charlotte, they have better shooters.

If the main problem is defense, and singning Brunson to $80M to add to a core of Luka, THJ, Dinwiddie and Bertans will probably yield the same results for the next 4 years. Brunson, Luka, THJ and Dinwiddie arent good defenders. And that's your backcourt rotation signed on for the next 4 years. Expecting a different result is just not realistic. At some point a compromise can probably be made.

Offense is problem also. All Mavs' fire power is very similar, too similar. Signing and not trading Brunson will be the biggest mistake Mavs can make. He's a nice player, but really not necessary in this Mavs team, because we have Luka. Mavs needs someone, who can score like Brunson in front court.

Wonder if a three way could work. Brunson to Detroit, Grant to Atlanta and John Collins to Dallas. Collins can provide Brunson numbers in the front court.

I don't know what will work or not, but I believe that's exactly the thing for what GMs are getting big paycheques. Making roster for contending. The most difficult part, getting franchise player, is done, building team around Luka shouldn't be that difficult. But just giving everyone new bigger contracts won't work for sure. Brunson and/or THJ must be changed in something different. Not the easiest thing to do, but we're again back to big paycheques for doing your job.

True. Charlotte scores on nearly all possessions in second half. Shot high %. When it does not go in, there's still second chance point most of the time. Charlotte plays like Boston defensively and Golden States offensively. LaMelo is ridiculous.

What a waste of a big effort by Luka.
