Nice alley oop from Hardy to Green.

Wood is a baller and we still need another ballhandler. No news.

Luka was incredible last night. Seems like he got slimmer, fitter & faster than his usual self... or it's just me? :-?

Can't wait to watch him in upcoming season.

As expected, Hardy needs the ball in hands a lot. Green fits alongside Luka better. And Dinwiddle would be traded.

He looked as usual to me, nothing special regarding his looks.

Luka and Wood looked great, both together and each on his own, these are good news.
DFS and Bullock did their usual thing, they were slacking off on defense though, pre-season and all.
Dinwiddie was barely noticable.
THJ looked great, but bricked all shots except one.
The rest of the guards have shown nothing that says they can contribute anything.
McGee is pretty meh, especially defensively.
And bone bruise only for Suggs, thank God

Better IMO, interesting who's going to start, THJ, Green or Frank.

I would put Hardy over Frank.

That would be unfair to him, he's still young, raw and inexperienced, he should play backups and gain experience and confidence.

He's a willing shooter unlike Frank and yet to be seen Green.

Maybe Wood enters the starting 5

Iztok Franko, Slovenian basketball analyst who writes for D-Magazine, is suggesting Maxi will be a good fit, it's going to be interesting.
What we saw in the 1st quarter against the Magic was amazing, and Wood did well with the 2nd unit, but the 2nd unit was really bad at times, on both ends, they allowed Cole Anthony of all people to break them down and allowed 40 points 2nd quarter, I think Wood is desperately needed in the non-Luka minutes.

Iztok does solid work.

Guess we have to wait until next Friday to see who starts unless Kidd names the starter earlier.

After watching few videos of Mavs practice and seeing how they play in semi real games, i think Wood is not a good idea to pair with Luka in the starting unit. Even Kidd used basically same lineup as he did in playoffs when Magic started making a run, he rather went with Maxi to provide toughness and versatility on defense.

For now, Wood looks like insant offense, which is amazing but if they'll continue to struggle with rim protection then i'm not surprised if we'll see more Maxi or even McGee over him.

As for guards, i'm actually kinda starting to like Hardy because he is way more confident and ready to shoot than rookie Green ever was. I hope Kidd develops him and turns him into Brunson 2.0.
Send Frank to China or whatever, he doesn't fit on this team anyway...There is absolutely no reason to play Frank over young promising players.

I think Wood needs to play with Maxi. He's just not big enough or a good enough rim protector to be the lone big unless the other team is playing small too.

As for Dinwiddie going to the bench. It's needed since no one on the bench can run an offense to save their lives. If I were to bet, it has to be Josh or Hardy. Frank has been atrocious and would be odd to reward the clearly inferior player a starting spot.

I think the Mavs should try Green in the SL at first to see if he has developed into anything useful.
If he can't hit wide open 3s with Luka, he will never develop into a good fit for this team imo.

He wouldn't be completely a liability because he does offer some defense, hustle and athleticism but I think we need to take good look at him early on to see if he is a keeper.

I honestly don't think Frank is a keeper anymore. He hasn't shown anything as far as I'm concerned.

Powell and THJ need to be on the trade block this season imo.
Seems the lead dwindled pretty quickly once THJ came in and his many bricks seemed to spark the Magic.

I'm pretty much done with both of them as a fan and feel we need to move on from them for the betterment of the team.
