It was a good game for team morale, after heart crushing loss in opener, things to look out for:
THJ finding his rytham
Integrate other play maker than Luka/Dinwiddie, Wood shows good iso ability.
the Luka/McGee connection is still a bit off.

I don't think Wood will settle for 20/yr for now. Many teams can use him once he proved that he can contribute in winning team as well.

20 is the max extension he's allowed

What if he declines it? I forgot what his FA status is for next year

Yeah he can decline it, it's similar situation to Brunson/DFS (limited to 55/4) and Randle last year (limited to 100/4), they can extend guaranteed contract mid season with less money or they can wait for FA, trend right now is players taking guaranteed money.

This game was impressive

They were locked in like it was a playoff game. It felt the group matured a lot over the offseason. I would say new-found confidence and dominance from the CF run, but it felt the same on the regular season final last season (Spurs). They probably don't bring this seriousness every game, but if you poke the bee nest...

Luka's defense was actually really good IMO.

I had real concerns about our FT shooting but maybe the Phx game was an outlier - time will tell.

I'm still really intrigued by Josh Green. Dude is such a loose ball magnet it's crazy. His release looks improved as well. I think he has to slow down further. He needs consistent minutes to get better, hopefully Facu will cut moderately into his minutes to allow for growth.

Agreed, he's still clueless driving into traffic and getting stuck, his confiedence is still very shaky (the shot he took was buzzer beater, otherwise he wouldn't have taken it), but, his offensive rebounding, stalking weak ball handler and stripping them and general nose for loose balls is impressive.

I think if he continue to play well like this. He will look for contract similar to comparable player like John Collins.
