Problem is, you have to win now, there is no other way. Literally finals or even a championship or Nico better relocate to North Pole. Losing in 1st or 2nd round will be a total and complete disaster, specially the way this went down and what was said in that press conference when Nico was literally mocking the trade.

It is a bit complex.

Very few people believe this trade made the Mavs better. So will it be a disaster if the team loses early in the playoffs? Most people expect the Mavs to not be a serious threat and likely to lose 'early'.

We will have to see the context when we get there, to understand the sort of pressure that the Mavs/GM do get. For now, the "disaster" already happened... for whatever reason they didn't even let this current team play out the season.

I don't exactly understand many fan's mentality. We are all adults and rational beings... they can just get lost and not watch the Mavs. They don't have to perpetually cry about a trade or how bad it will be, etc.

Since the trade was quite lousy... just two good players back and a future pick... it's not like a new GM would have a lot of ability to change things and stuff. I hope the GM does get fired if the Mavs lose early, but the biggest damage is done already... so probably... the rational thing is to just try to enjoy the team and let Nico continue to cook and see where this takes us.

We cannot change the past. We can just move on or move out.

So the rational is to keep Nico as long as we can even when we already know he is not capable or what's even worse is he has malicious intent?

Sounds like adult mindset when it comes to a bad marriage to me.

Of course not, but first 10 to 15 years seems reasonable :p

On a serious note, it's not like this happened a few years ago, but rather a few days ago. People are simply disappointed, feel betrayed by management and the wound is still fresh. Give it some time.

I guess to be a forum mod, empathy is not required.

Ah, he's in the same boat as the rest of the fans here, went through the same disappointment, he just tries to be positive... while the majority isn't ready yet.
It's also hard to manage the community as a mod if you're constantly unhappy about the recent events, so what else is there to do but move on as soon as possible? (that's how I understand his post)

65 points half against stifling defense, amazing...
AD at PF is a cheat code on derense but Rockets don't have the shooting to punish.

I'm Chinese. The sad people there can only voice the same type of message. Otherwise they are banned online or arrested in real life.

Houston is in a 5 straight L streak... They are bad right now. Very bad.

But AD is awesome.

Yes, you make a very good point. I just feel like that because I have also been digesting so much Mavs content to cope. So I have read countless "My family died" type texts... to the point of boredom. Likely also an effect of "social media" "look at me" type of things.

Only way Mavs don't get into the finals or not win the title is going to be because of Kidd or injuries to either AD or Kyrie.

Honestly, i think roster is really good but it would have been better if Nico didn't trade Grimes and just risked it until the end. That was a dumb move trading him. Christie is the X factor here. He's much better than anyone thought he'll be.
