Only been a handful of games.

Kyrie can wade into another controversy in a month or two.

I believe the Lakers will have cap space though and very few assets. If they’re able to they will definitely signs 30 year old superstar PG, even if he does miss a few games every season.

They won't, only LBJ and AD + cap holds will dro their cap space below 30

There’s been some talk about the Laker moving on from AD. What if they offered up AD in a sign and trade? The Mavs would obviously take that but would that be a great fit?

AD spends most time in street clothes. He's more fragile than Porzingis. So I doubt there's interest from Nico to pay full price for a player than can miss most games.

I'd do AD for Kyrie, Kyrie isn't an Iron man himself.

When I originally asked the question here I thought it just made sense that a sign and trade could work, just brain storming. Now it seems though that there could be some legs to it.

Come one, what we can offer to LAL for Anthony Davis? Sign and trade Irving? LAL can just sign Irving via free agency directly.

Yeah. Highly unlikely that happens. If anything, a sign and trade for Irving with LA would get Dallas a $200M D'Angelo Russell back. Which Cuban would be a sucker if he accepts. Lebron WANTS both AD and Irving. Not just either or. Now if Nico is dreaming of a D'Angelo Russell and Luka Doncic backcourt then go for it.

Face it, lakers dont have the players to trade for irving. And dont have the capspace i think. Its like lebron then nothing, and dont really want lebron either at his price tbh

I think Ayton is more possible than AD. Let's face the reality. Not a single FA interested in joining the Mavs even with Luka and Kyrie. The Mavs need coaching changes badly. The Mavs has to accommodate headcase or reclamation project. The Mavs has to develop rookies and keep draft picks. But with Kidd around, none of them are achievable. The Mavs is not functioning like a team.

This kind of question will not go away until the coaching changes, Luka being matured and roster drastic changes.

The Mavs should focus on fixing Green's pick-n-roll defense and Ntilikina's shooting; has to give detailed instruction to McGee, but not going the Kidd way to appease: avoiding talented headcase, starting Powell merely due to relationship, overpaying mediocre players and coach. Build the team around players but not Cuban and Kidd.

If I’m not mistaking I believe they would have to release all of their cap holds in order to be able to sign Kyrie outright. They have some young players they really want to keep. With that said they would likely have to get a 3rd team involved if they end up trading AD for Kyrie.

One question why Kidd don't play Morris if are not going to play Morris you should buy his contract and get a player that can play some D And Score what we need is defence

Definitely take it with a grain of salt. Next to Skip he’s probably the biggest idiot on tv.

According to Morris he’s out of shape. He recently said that he was completely out of the rotation in Brooklyn so he let himself get out of shape. The hope is that he will see more time after the All Star break. Don’t know how hard he’s working to get back in shape. His skill set though is exactly what the Mavs need.

Yeah, but he was out of the rotation because he already sucked to begin with. With he sucks and he's out of shape?

Not sure that's going to work out. His brother is doing just fine. Our Morris doesnt seem to have taken care of himself in the same way.

I think it's more likely GSW trades Draymond
Draymond to LAL
AD to Dallas
Picks and someone usefull to GS(probably would need a fourth team to make it happen)...I think GSW Will try to reduce their wage bill and get Younger...if they Loose in the first or second round I cqn see them making some changes...maybe trade Draymond and Klay..pair Steph with someone like Siakam or Turner

I won't touch Jordan Poole. But Hardaway could be moved. Young pieces from LA are sent to the Mavs.

Moving AD and acquiring Kyrie doesn't move the needle for the Lakers. AD is the game piece to their team but he cokes off as very unhappy.
