Luka Doncic is a hot topic globally. And is click bait for ESPN and other media entities. Clicks and page views equate to profit. They will always find a way to tie Dallas into any trade or signing rumor from here until 2035.

That being said, I want no part of Andrew Wiggins even if he comes with picks. And yes, I dont like the player (Wiggins) and it's not like Donnie is some genius on draft day either. So no matter how high those picks are, chances are he drafts a Justin Anderson 9 times out of 10.

Damn, the grizzlies took Iggy off of GSW's hands and got a first round pick and Justise Winslow for their trouble. That could've easily been the mavs. Justise would be exactly what the doctor ordered. Can defend every position except the center, can do a bit of playmaking and improved as a 3pt shooter, the only knock is injury troubles....

Cuban is gambling and has gone all in for 2021.

Personally I think it's a pride thing. He had Giannis back then and he let it slip away by drafting someone else. He gets a second chance this time, I don't think his pride will allow it to slip away a 2nd time without even trying.

Pride is a very dangerous thing though. He shouldn't make business decisions with emotions involved. But that makes Cuban, Cuban. So we'll see.

still hoping they dont go for a big name or expensive contract.. just get a low risk guy. Im gonna repost these names
i think they messed up BIGTIME in not drafting Gafford..
Khem Birch from ORL
pros- extremely athletic, good shot blocking instincts and a high energy guy.
cons- cant shoot, will probably be like that for the rest of his career.

Darel Poirier from gleague( even if theres a 90%chance he becomes a bust i still think mavs should sign him if it costs almost nothing)
pros- athletic guy that fits well with KP, still only 22 and has a decent 3pt shot( 35% 3pt right now) dude is like a capela but has a
chance to develop a 3pt shot.
cons- struggles to handle physical bigs down low.(only seen him from highlights, ofcourse everyone looks good in highlights)

Markkanen wants out. Dallas needs to package whatever it takes to make that happen. 2025 1st, GSW 2nd, Brunson, and Maxi

How do you not take Iguodala + a lightly protected 2024 1st round pick over a 40% chance you sign Danny Green?

With the protections, I don't think Dallas can trade a 1st round pick until after the 2020 draft.

Markkanen would have to stay healthy for me to feel comfortable with making that type of trade. The man simply can't stay on the court.

What will be Lauri's position here? PF or SF?

That's a tall lineup with KP, WCS and Lauri all above 7 feet.

At the very least, he can be a Dwight Powell insurance policy. AT THE VERY LEAST.

At best, he turns into a 7 foot Danilo Galinari.

Lauri and KP start, WCS isn’t a starter caliber player

I would want Zach Levine.

With Miami getting all these new guys in, it's a possibility that they let guys like Goran Dragic and Derrick Jones Jr. walk in the summer.

I wont be opposed to getting Dragic on a cheap deal. But I'm particularly interested with Derrick Jones Jr.

Trade deadline is passed. I guess we are going with what we have. I am little disappointed that we didn't do anything but we keep our two decent draft picks so Draft and free agency is how we try to fill that 3rd star spot. Better to do nothing than make a bad deal.

Looking back: undwhelming use of all the caproom we had in July.

Now Lee can't be traded anymore and the trade exception has expired.

They should have just kept Harrison Barnes.

I wasn't a big fan of trading him for cap space because the Mavs never seem to land a big fish. Barnes is slightly overpaid, but he is solid. He doesn't get injured, plays decent defense, and good on offense. He will score about 15 ppg. He is good behind the three point line and will help space the floor. There is nothing great about his game, but no glaring holes in it either. He is good to have on your team as a third or fourth best player.

WCS was our deal, and I liked that move. I'm not that disappointed because I see merit in keeping the pick & not disturbing the team chemistry.

CLE barely gave up anything for Andre Drummond tho. That one kinda makes me a little disappointed. To be honest, I think as poorly as the Mavs have played over the last 6 weeks, I think the Front Office just didn't have the confidence in this team to spend any future assets on this season.

I can't blame them. This team hasn't looked good since before Christmas.

Good standing pat, if you weren't going to go all in on a difference maker(chris paul) no need for ml mortgages assets tho limited for role players that don't move the needle

Looks like we are content with just making the playpffs and that's fine, would've been nice to dump justin Jackson and or boban to add someone that can actually play

Shocked Delon and Lee weren’t packaged together and shipped somewhere, but that’s what I get for getting my hopes up. I fully expect a draft day trade involving Wright and the picks though

You’re under the impression that Justin Jackson can’t play?
