You’re under the impression that Justin Jackson can’t play?

I agree. Wouldn't been major but I would have offered him for Valentine.

Better ball handler and 3pt shooter.

I also would have traded him for a bocce ball set.

Mehhh I'd trade him for a whopper. This team was just built wrong, I'm still trying to understand the reasoning for signing boban

Ditto.

He's a cartoon character if you ask me.

Agree

Happy they made no trades over a dumb one. The only moves this team was likely to make was to push a team in rd1 and would need alot breaks to advance.

These picks will be more valuable this summer if a trade opens up.

Luckily we didn't trade the GSW 2nd round pick for Danny Green, his 30M for 2 year contract is overpaid, I would rather to use that 15m to spend on young players with more potential in the coming offseason, can definitely draft a rotation player in the potential 31st pick

Danny Green doesn't interest me. We could have pursued less expensive players like Philadelphia did by acquiring Glen Robinson and Alec Burks from Golden State. Both are paid around 1.5m per year and are expiring.

I realize Philly gave up 3 second round picks for them but I'm just using the two players as an example. We don't need Danny Green or to save LA from his contract.

Absolutely agree with this. I mentioned Robinson and Burks earlier but was thinking one or the other. Maybe GS wanted to send them as a package which would have been fine. The cost for Philly was 3 2nd round picks all from Good Teams so they would be late 2nd rounders. Surely our likely 1st pick of the 2nd round was worth those 3 late picks. Anyway I would have been very happy with Robinson and Burks. Maybe the money didn't work or the Mavs simply weren't interested.

Also was not that interested in Danny Green. But he can play defense and hit the 3.

Wish we would have done something even small. Maybe ge tin on that memphis/mia deal and get crowder for justin jackson. Mia is loaded with wings, jackson being able to play some pf may have made that deal possible.

Forget Danny Green. Dallas needs to chase Josh Richardson any time they have a chance to. Sixers will be imploding soon.

Assuming Green would have only cost us a second round pick, I would have done the deal. Of course it really doesn't matter now since the deal fell through.

1. He is only one a two year contract and the Mavs have no cap space this coming Summer. Next year he will be an expiring.
2. He provides solid defense and leadership skills.
3. He is good enough behind the three point line to space the floor. He also is good in the clutch.

The only negative I see in taking minutes away from DFS.

I agree, though to mitigate point #3, I would have started Danny Green with THJ and DFS at the 4

I'd like to see this too. DFS or Justin Jackson at the 4.

Houston beat the Lakers earlier with a 6'5 center. And the Lakers were parading Lebron and AD. So with KP at the 5, I think we can at least try certain stretches with those 2 at the 4.

There are a couple of moves I would have liked to have seen the Mavs make but at the end of the day I’m ok with them sticking with the team as is. Really none of these guys have been NBA playoff tested. We really don’t know what we have when it comes to playoff ball. Some guys thrive and some guys fold. They will be getting Luka back and WCS will get more comfortable in the offense. So they should still be able to make the playoffs. I think they will end up somewhere between 5-7. Let them get their playoff experience and then try to make a move in the off season.

Justin Jackson doesn't even look like an NBA player deserving of minutes and u think he should start? Are you serious?
