Josh wouldn't have been my pick, but he checks all the boxes for the Mavs.

I would've taken Saddiq aswell with 18. But not unhappy with Green. Higher ceiling, great defender and capable of hitting shots.

It's funny, because when the pick happened, I was disappointed it wasn't Bey, but then I realized I don't really know these kids. I spent a lot of time looking at draft boards and know the players on paper, but I only watch March Madness.

If they thought Josh Green is a better 3andD option, then I'll trust that they've done due diligence. They decided pretty fast too.

And now let Tyler Bey fall to 31.

Josh Green can be a Klay Thompson starter kit.

Bane looked like an easy pick even at 18. Green looks like a decent rotation player, but I'm not sure there's much upside.

Saddiq Bey's problem was that he was perceived as a bit slow with not much explosiveness. The Mavs probably thought Green had a better motor on him.

Tyler Bey would be fine at #31. I'd love it if Tyler Terry fell that far, but probably not.

The jersey sales in Australia alone would make the pick worth it

I would have preferred Bey over Green. But Donnie Nelson has an obsession with anyone with Eastern hemisphere ties

Like I said before he reminds me of Brogdon and even a combination of Derrick White with better shooting potential. Watching some clips, I like his motor and temperament.

Terry, Bane and Tyler Bey still on the board. Five more picks.

Happy to give him a chance. Would've preferred Siddique, but we'll see what Green does. Hopefully he's not another Justin Anderson

Bane or Terry would be great picks if we end up with either one.

Still stunned we took Green over Bey and Hampton. Truly indefensible

Adding Tillman, McDaniels, Woodard, Maledon

Obviously Bane would be a dream, but I doubt it

Josh Green shot over 40% from 3 in his last 10 games. Its a good trend for a young player.

If the Mavs think he can shoot 35% from NBA 3, then he is clearly the guy to get. Will never be a star but good chance to be the 3 and D wing they want and need.

Donnie Nelson sucked tonight. Can’t believe he couldn’t swing even one deal to get us a player that can help year 1.

Bane was my favourite pick. It's a shame he went 30th. The problem with Tyler Terry is that I really think Brunson is going to be a great back up point guard and Terry seems like a 6th man, creating offense with the bench squad.

Can he be a good defender and be the secondary playmaker in the starting line-up?

O'Connor seems to like him a lot. He had him as the 8th best player in the draft. Which would be incredible value at 31.

Edit : I was going to say that Curry is already on the team anyway... guess that answer the question. I think I like the pick and the trade. Both guys fit more with Luka’s timeline.

So the Mavs cleared more cap for 2021. Sad that Curry had to be the bait, but Terry might fit that role.

Overall, I am pleased with the night. They got 3 prospects who all seem to have a shot to be rotational players and fit with Luka's age. If even 1 works out, it is a success. And now they have plenty of cap room for next year.
