I don't get it, I really don't, he's athletic, has a good shooting touch, has good placement on offense in the P&Rs, how can he be so detrimental, it's puzzling...

Wood may still get traded or cut before the deadline.
I'm glad to get rid of that discussion here. Dont care if he scores 20pt in some games. Mavs will never have the personnel to hide him on defense.

In total preseason games Wood had +/- of -64 in 6 games.

That's actually quite an impressive negative achievement. I know i always advocated for him but at this point it looks like he doesn't care anymore. It's either he's playing in very suspect lineups or it's just the preseason effect of trying to find the right balance.

Wood has exactly the same netrtg like Lively.

The only difference is that nobody sane would put him in the starting lineup.

What to watch for ...... Kyrie getting playing time with Dante Exum playing next to him ,how fast a pace will they play at. With the last pre season game a fast pace needs to be fully established going into the season and not just forgotten when Luka plays to open the season.
I refuse to believe Luka can only score 30 ppg if he controls the pace and who shoots the ball .This team ISN'T the same team where everyone stands at the 3 pt line for 3 pt catch and shoots. Kyrie changed that plan all by himself .
Exum and Green love fast paced BB.Hardy looks like uptempo will be better for him .Lively and OMax need to play fast to be more of a factor defensively .This ISN'T the same team with Dorien and Bullock gone .Lets see this team play fast.

A confident Josh Green with well definded role can absolutely be an elite role player. Happy he's proving me right tonight. We've seen this from him before anyway.

Solid game. Kyrie managed the game well. Pushed the ball and was unselfish.

Green and Lively played very well. Not surprising that they played better with more pace. Hopefully this faster pace continues in the RS.

Yea apparently he loves up tempo game. But problem is, it won't be sustainable for the entire season. We've already seen last night that some of them looked kinda tired in the 3rd Q and all this running up and down also doesn't work in the playoffs. They'll have to learn to play with Doncic who plays more methodical and is one of the best offensive half court players in the game. Now that Lively actually already looks very decent, Kidd will have to figure out a lot of things. First 20 games will show a lot.
