I love the players and will root for them but coches FO and owners are dead to me...
All three of those parties are dead to me too. I don't believe I will be fine until we have a new ownership.

It's easy for me. I dropped the team.

And I was living here in DFW at the inception of the franchise. I had been a fan of the team from the beginning.

It's not only about the uniform for me though. And that line was crossed.

I'm not supporting a team with an owner/GM who in their own hubris did the unthinkable and then proceed to flip everyone off who doesn't tow the line.

They are treating fans like they are employees. Dissent is not tolerated. It's disgusting beyond belief.

All of it is disgusting at a level I never could have imagined. It's not something I'm willing to tolerate or look past.

I think this is all on ownership. No way that bum Nico has the guts and power to trade away a young generational talent, just months coming off a finals stint. and for a pick and street cloths Davis lol. Sucks you have owners that are not basketball people. Luka is one of my favorite non celtic player, but i hate thr lakers to the bones, so i’m not pulling for luka to succeed. This is on the ownership, and sucks you have a stupid GM as well.

I feel the same. I gave them 30+ years of Fandom, and feel like they spit in my face. I have zero desire to support this team.

It seems clear to me that it’s about something not related to basketball. So many parts of this are unprecedented.

On a lighter note, maybe Luka could sell his new house in Dallas to AD or Christie.

As long as it's in a good neighborhood, it shouldn't be too hard to sell.

Nico Harrison has been in the NBA for 3 plus years. He spent the prior 19 plus years in the corporate world with Nike where he eventually became a VP.

Patrick Dumont has been in the NBA since the middle of last season. He has no sports background to speak of. He married into money. Prior to marrying the daughter of the adelson's he was in investment banking. His life changed and he rose to power in an adelson company as a result of that marriage.

So this was brainstormed by two people with a total of about 4 years experience in the NBA.

That's how you get here. Nico told you his reasons. Patrick told you his reasons. And look how they are acting since the trade. Treating lifelong fans like garbage unless they tow the line. That's how it works in the world of big business and that's where both men came from. Two people lacking experience in the field they are now in and both in over their heads.

Christie and the G-Leaguers are keeping my interest and I'll be supporting them.
But it is really tough hoping for success for these knuckleheads running this classless organization.

In the 70s and 80s I was a diehard Cowboys fan until Jerry bought the team and ruthlessly fired a legendary coach. Ever since then I have had extreme passionate hate for Jerry and his team.

Damn I don't want this to happen again with the Mavs but I'm struggling to keep interest and feel it will take decades to recover from this. Everytime I think of Nico I want to throw up.

You know it's bad when even Silver had to answer questions about this trade and he actually had to defend himself. It was so funny watching how his voice was shaking and he was so nervous making it look it was a normal, and yet still slightly, weird thing that happened.

He even defended both Nico and Dumont how good people they are and the great relationship he has with both, etc.. :nonono:

They are business men and they made a deal... No one lose in these types of "deals" so we will see in the future for what these **** sold our future.

This video is sweet. Luka is massive a goofball & such a great human being. He was the perfect franchise player after Dirk. We could not have dreamed for better. I still can't believe they did this and I don't think I ever will.

The trade was awful and the actions of the FO afterwards show they're petty and ignorant. But how could you possibly know if Luka is a great human being?

Because he is a personal friend of mine. No, I meant to say he seems like one.

I don't know. I mean he doesn't come across as an arrogant prick like Wade, Lebron, and the Banana boat, or a lowlife like Miles Bridges or Anthony Edwards. But he's also beyond immature and doesn't put in the necessary effort to be the max player he could be but doesn't mind taking max money. That doesn't seem like great human to me

He's still a young man, so I think your expectations are too high to fault him as not being a good human being because he likes a beer or struggles with conditioning, assuming that's what you mean by effort. Most if not all human beings have vices, nobody is perfect.

He worked extensively with charity organizations throughout Dallas.

After the mass shooting that killed eight children and a security guard at a Belgrade elementary school, Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has committed to pay for the funeral services and grief counseling for classmates and staff, a spokesperson for the Luka Doncic Foundation told ESPN on Thursday.

He never had any so called incidents related to normal life like other countless players/celebrities. Has 3 dogs a daughter and a fiancee, same girl he was with since they were small kids basically.

When he was traded to LAL, he worked with his charity to help donate 500k for school and playground rebuild for kids.

He's constantly praised by his old teammates how great of a guy he is. Every Christmas he bought entire team and coaching staff presents (i guess Nico didn't get his times time) and also takes time for fans to sign autographs, specially when they wait for him for hours.

Everyone knows Jokic is a great guy on and off the court and they're best friends. I'm sure Jokic wouldn't hang out with someone who's an **** or simply a bad person.

And that's just very few things to name. For us who get more of his news here in Slovenia, we know exactly who he is. Nico and Dumont say he is a fat alcoholic who brings bad culture to the team... i guess when you repeat the same lie over and over again, it could become truth to some. (Not saying you believe that, but others might).

Man Arch you're from Slovenia and taking all this better than me. I washed my hands of the Mavs and I'm probably less Luka train than most. Kudos to your loyalty, I just can't with this FO

Yeah, I love this answer. Luka always did things the right way. I've seen nothing to indicate he isn't a great guy so weird to be challenged on it by a Mavs fan who I assume was following Luka like we all were.

Slovenia is a beautiful country, I went there last year to Ljubljana and Bled. Surprised it's not more of a tourist destination.

I just went to Lakers reddit and apparently they posted new hit pieces on Luka from Mavs ORG. It's incredible what they're doing. It's literally like Luka murdered someone and Nico is trying his best to explain why he was traded, it's almost article after article **** on Luka. They just can't keep their mouths shut.

So yeah, i suggest you don't read that it will make you even angrier lol. To me at this point, it's just funny, because it's more and more clear how much lying is going on from Nico and Dumont.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
