In order to generate that capspace, they had to renounce any further rights to those players. Thus, the Mavericks have no more capholds. It is a pretty simple process. Read cbafaq.com for further informations.

Shamsports still has the salary informations from last season on, it is not up-to-date.

I get it, and agree with you and daboys conclusions. I did not know that those old spares, some who have been retired for more than 10 years were still listed as cap holds until I went to Shamsports. I am asking for board rules to be followed, and the rule is if a source is not cited, the post is to be deleted and a warning sent. I asked for that rule to be followed 3 times. Thank you fore citing a source, like I discovered with about 5 minutes yesterday, but did not post. CBAFAQ.com, Sections 14, 37-42.

I have not had to come down on the board or any poster lately and I appreciate the good behavior, especially in this volatile time of angry then happy mavs fans. I am really shocked that this much wasted time has occurred over such a small issue. I am blame by asking for the reference. Let us all follow the simple board rules and life is so much easier on and off the board. My wife is ready to chuck my computer.

Thanks for your attention, and have a great summer.

Rights to second rounders don't count against the cap.

Since no other moves can be made, can JES, since he began the thread, update where mavs Payroll Status. are and then we can release this thread as mavs have 15 players in the house.

Koponen is actually a 1st rounder. However the Mavs have done some cap tricks with him, so that they retained his rights yet he is not charged against the cap at this time.

Calathes, as noted, has no cap charge because he's a second rounder. The Mavs probably still have rights to Seibutis and a few other 2nd-rounders as well.

The exact contractual details for Kaman, Brand, Mayo, Cunningham, Crowder, and West have been variously reported, but the precise details have yet to leak to the public. (NBA teams do not release contractual details per league policy.)

In all likelihood the Mavs currently have a Team Salary with the league in the $61-62M range, with an actual payroll that's somewhat smaller. It's not possible to be more exact until better contract info leaks out.
