I'm a bit confused about this Burke deal. He was really good vs LAC that's true, but Mavs have so many guards now and still no real rock solid enforcer under the rim.

We definitely need some big name acquisition either on the wing or ideally a 4/5.

I have a strange feeling the Mavs are working on a deal for Hayward.
You know how Rick likes playmakers and Hayward would be a nice fit to our system, especially now that we have some nice defenders.

So, what is our roster like now?

Luka/Brunson/Burke/Terry
THJ/Wright/Reaves
Richardson/Green/Jackson
DFS/Maxi/Bey
KP/Powell/Boban

Arguably we have 6 PGs

After Frank Isola of SiriusXM NBA Radio reported (via Twitter) that the Rockets were close to finalizing a three-year, $27MM agreement with big man Christian Wood, Shams Charania of The Athletic says (via Twitter) that Wood remains engaged with interested teams.

I hope we trade Delon.

I guess that's some of the MLE
That is a beautiful thing.
I'm sure he's happy to have some stability.

I think the Mavs has to find a shotblocking big. With the FA pool drought quickly, I am fine with Thon Maker or Tacko Fall. I think the Mavs need energy, quickness and athleticism down low. And both are young and may be pretty low on the asking price. But I am not surprised that the Mavs end up with someone from Europe again.

Brunson is one of our best trade pieces now so it wouldn't surprise me if he is being discussed in trade scenarios.
Donnie is much better at trades than signing FAs so I bet they are aggressively working on a massive trade.

Good news, if he can keep somewhat the same production he did in the bubble it's a steal. I imagine him being a 18-20 mpg player next season. And it's an easy contract to trade away if he doesn't produce.

We may not be guard-heavy once Delon leaves.

Remember we had Burke, Brunson, Lee, Hardaway, Barea, and Doncic
This season, Burke, Brunson, Hardaway, Terry, Doncic and Wright

Mavs need to pull the chair out and lock him in the room like the Clips did with Deandre. He would be such a great WCS replacement

Trading Brunson would be foolish unless you get something significant in return. He's destined to be JJB replacement and has that Lowry mentality of not being afraid to use his body on defensive end.

Hopefully the aim is higher. Maker is a major bust and Fall isn't NBA material.

Yes, Jesus that would an awful FA period. We could wave goodbye to Luka already if this is the best talent we can attract.

That is basically my point, Brunson has significant trade value and can be the lure for a bigger fish.
I still think they are going after Hayward or Wood (if still available).

Wonder what the Hawks plan to do with John Collins. They just committed $60M for Gallo.

I'm glad you brought that up. I thought about him earlier today. I can't imagine the Hawks want to trade him though.

There is still hope. But i don't like Hayward, expensive and often injured.

I don't know if Brad is trolling or Mavs are really all in on a big now.
