He’s actually looked solid tonight. Best game of the year and he’s only played 7 mins.

He deserves a spot in the center rotation.

I don’t know if he deserves that. He’s been pretty bad this year.

Extend him right now! And yes, I’m talking about Theo Pinson!

Wood is definitely not 100% yet - that three was so short and flat - he normally has a nice high arch.

What a great win.

Hats off to Kyrie. His numbers weren't eye popping but the guy made all the right plays. Turned it up when he needed to and deferred to teammates quite a bit to get them involved. Great debut.

Mcgee was the single reason we were able to hold the lead.

I was impressed when he was guarding George and slapped the ball away on a single coverage.

Great win, Kyrie played like he has been a Mav for months, not 24h and one practice in. With Maxi coming back and if McGee can actually contribute I'm not sure this team actually needs more changes. If Wood gets back to 100% we really have 4 very different bigs + Morris and both Bullock and Green are very good on the wing defensively. Kyrie defended great all game too - even against much bigger guys like Kawhi and George.

Shoutout also to Timmy - I know we would like to upgrade him but he came up big over and over again all game and I think he gets away far too negatively here because we focus on the boneheaded 3s with 2 seconds gone in the 24... and hence the rest that he does goes unappreciated.

Kyrie made Pinson a NBA player. That's a miracle!!!

Good W, having more players on the court who can dribble and pass the ball help a lot.

Josh with another all around game, few assists because his teammates missed a lot of open shoots.

Bullock the same Bullock, when he is hot he can't miss. When he is off he can shoots.

Kyrie first game with personality. Good attitude.

McGee can help for 10/15 minutes a game.
Like he played with his past winning teams, nobody can expect a starting role for him.

Good W. New fresh start.

At one point Kawhi was killing and cooking us, it was Mcgee making a huge block to put up the fire. Kawhi sat down afterwards

Yeah McGee came up with 3 blocks within minutes - I think it's so critical to be able to just send a message like that. Prior to those blocks they were getting to the basket at will. And even with Kawhi - as amazing as he is from mid range - I'd rather he takes contested mid range shots than layups.

Luka trying to lose weight. we a running team now!

I like the new pace. They achieved a lot by running. Having Luka dominate the for most of the shot clock slows the game now. But it has it's merits, he finda mismatches and open guys and all. Ita a nice change of pace. Kyrie also showing he can play off ball. Oh it's on now.

I expect Kyrie to be on his best behaviour for the rest of the season. Up until the new contract is signed in the summer. But I like what Im seeing now. Luka will do a lot of running now. LOL

Take aways:

Josh Green was elite defensively. A huge reason why Kawhi had a bad first half was Green was all over him and then Green had to switch to Mann and Powell in the 3rd.

Reggie was also good, if they can get Maxi back they have a good defensive core.

McGee probably deserves a few minutes a night, he is the best interior defender we have. Plus he can finish and rebound.

Hardaway can score we all know that and he had some buckets in the final 2 minutes but he was benched for most of the 4th because he couldn't defend a traffic cone tonight.

Hardy is good but needs to tighten his handle.

The Mavs for 2 games in a row have brought the physicality, hustle, focus, and defensive energy that champions need.
