Wood has done what is asked of him and I can't remember him complaining about it. Kidd has been antagonistic from the start.
He's bad defensively, but he was never given a real chance. His leash is the shortest I can remember and it's on a team without depth with no real defensive stopper anyway.
He played 22 minutes, while Pinson played 20 minutes!!!!!! In a game where the Mavs were shorthanded. If that's not a big FU by Kidd, what is it?
Can anyone justify Pinson going 0/5 in 20 minutes? Kidd is obviously playing favorites.

Yeah we know Kidd is doing things in the background. Its these shady stuff wouldn't surprise me. This is a guy eho asked a player to intentionally bump him so he can spill his drink on the court. Not much we could do on that end though. Dirk signed off on it and Cuban thinks its the right move, for now.
Hopefully Kidd uses that shady side and does some tampering for the Mavs in the summer so they can get someone of need.

Wood proved up til he got injured that he tries on defense and tries to play team ball. What did it get him? The love from fans, but a lowball offer from fo and tried to trade him, and lost his starting spot. What choice does he actually have now if he want to get a good contract this summer?
Im on woods side. I want him to start. If we follow some heres suggestion and get a def only center our offense will be dead. Its back to those 90-95 points games if we gonna play 4 on 5 in offense, with 2 great getting to the rim guys having the paint clogged by some big lumbering idiot. I know, mavs forum standard have fallen thru the floor, its like knicks and lakers hottakes these day and barely bearable. But god, its a miserable bunch around these days.
What are you angry about? Nobody says that Wood is guilty of anything, not yesterday and not before. We're discussing only if he's worthy of max. extension. Some believe he's and some believe he's not. Nobody gives a **** about over opinion anyway.
I believe that FO not liking him and coach not liking him is for sure telling, especially if we know that 6 teams before didn't especially like him and nobody in Nba apparently doesn't like him enough to make a trade for him.
I believe point of this board is to discuss about Mavs and it's only normally that we have different views about someone.
Imho Mavs need rim protection more than Wood's scoring, but that's only my opinion.

It's a wonder they traded for him considering no new information was learned this year. It makes the FO look like they can't plan more than a month in advance.

Re: RS 22/23 - Mavs @ Nuggets (Wednesday, 9PM EST)
I heard this on Mavs Moneyball this morning and it shocked me. Apparently in the last 2 games, MIN and DEN have shot a combined 48-52 against us in the paint. For those that don't want to do the math, that's 92.3%. It does not get any worse then that.
Look, I know Wood is not the answer to all our rim protection issues but he's statistically our best rim protector. The trade deadline has passed and we got to work with what we got. Teams shoot 56.7% at the rim against Wood, that's only 0.4% higher then Rudy Gobert. Kidd needs to get his head out of his ass and figure out how to somehow implement Wood. Motivate him to play D better, teach him how to rotate better, be a COACH. We need him to play well if we want to succeed. McGee and Powell are not going to get it done.

Kidd can tell us whatever he wants but there is no single reason behind Wood and Powell rotations.
It's pretty clear right now that he has some off court problems with this player.
But probably Kidd will not our coach next season, so i don't care... let him dig his own grave.

I'd rather he tire himself out and get 50 then let Murray, MPJ, KCP, etc. all shoot 3s at a high clip all game. Best D we can give on Jokic is Powell getting hit in the face and hopefully getting an offensive foul call.
On the other end, involve Jokic in every pick and roll. Force him to play D for 12-24 seconds every possession. Again, tire him out.
Unfortunately, Kidd is awful doing just the opposite. Instead of fixing the issue, looking for frontcourt offense from LMA and Love. I think the issue is poor leadership. Kidd can't motivate or control players. And the direction and game plan are not as good as fans. Start looking for new coach until it is too late.

I'm just glad it's the ASB.... this team needs to get healthy and a few days off - ideally with less than 8 burgers a day for our MVP.

We don't need front court offense, we have one of the better offensive frontcourt players in the league but he's in the dog house.
But we're amongst the very WORST in the league in rebounding and interior defense.

Luka mentioned he's looking forward to flying to Mexico after the all star game. Hopefully he doesn't smoke too much or he'll play catch up again during fast breaks.

And how the hell did Doncic manage to get 9 assists with these idiotic lineups that Kidd brought out today.
Kidd is trying to get fired and i think he does a good job.
Tim MacMahon reported that his understanding of the situation was Mavs coach Jason Kidd being a key catalyst in the team not signing Dragic. Kidd doesn't believe Dragic "has any juice left."
"My understanding is that J-Kidd doesn't think Dragic has any juice left, so the Mavs basically asked him to be a foot shorter version of Boban and sit at the end of the bench all season," Tim MacMahon said. "He said hell no."
He tries so hard!
