You still haven't figured out that he's done with this team? :D He's fed up with them making dumb plays, missing open looks.

Bullock hits 2 or 3 more open looks that he had and this would have been completely different. THJ going for that contested 3 man layup in the clutch instead of passing it out to an open guy for a possible 3... There were 4 Mavs players under the rim but Melton outrebounded them all... Kidd not challenging even ONE obvious mistake by refs. I mean, you could go on and on and on. Every single game.

This team has way too many scrubs.

I would have more pity if he wasn’t part of the problem. His defense has been atrocious. His attitude can’t be a positive and he’s not leading the team.

I'm not denying that but you can't blame him for this game. He probably played best defense in the entire year. But we have seen something similar from Lebron as well. If you're that good and teammates make so many dumb mistakes (coach included), i guess everything falls apart at some point.

It just sucks because OKC and LAL both won and it's almost mission impossible from here on. I still don't trust OKC to pull through but Mavs would now need to win everything more or less.

Effort sucked in fourth 10 0 run... then we missed every opened 3!

Luka and Kyrie were very good tonight... The others ouch.
They need help, Bullock missed all of his open 3s. That's a shame.

Refs horribles too.

Phila is good but with 1/2 new players on the frontcourt we will be better.

Oh yes, maybe with a coach on the bench we could be better... A coach who calls a coach challenge sometimes

Game was already lost there, 7 down with less than minute to play. The biggest mistake Luka and Kyrie did was not taking enough shots by themselves and trusting their teammates too much. In last 6 minutes Luka took 3 shots and made 2, Kyrie didn't even shoot once. They should have taken vast majority of shots. How they started in Q1 was perfect, Luka creating from post and Kyrie scoring. That is the only way they can play together.

And why is Powell playing games against big Cs? Useless offensively and defensively. You can't have at least 2 totally useless starters in every game, especially if bench is useless like yesterday.

All in all I think it was pretty good game by the Mavs, better than many before.

Did anyone notice how Kyrie was talking about long term view of Dallas game? It looks to me they have a deal already.

Kidd, Luka and Kyrie having meeting alone looks like interesting development too.

Harris scored on him every single time he tried.

That came straight after this nice Powell play
Spoiler:

But his effort generally was better.

But yeah, Bullock missing wide open 3s, refs making terrible calls were bigger pains.

At some point we have to believe that this guy is just trolling us, right? Because his quotes or interviews have become a huge parody.

It's hilarious how he ends with his patent "We have to learn how to move forward"... With 5 games to go

Correct. Maxi and Luka contested the most shots. So at least the effort was there for the most part.

You would like to believe that Kidd is just playing mind games and has a façade to the media... but unfortunately, some of the weird things he says are genuine.

As far as challenges and stuff, I imagine teams have people in the staff that look at that and provide the advice. It shouldn't just be on him... it is damning on the whole set up if the coach is publicly saying those things.

I'm way past criticizing Kidd, his roster is flawed, but Bullock was getting cooked and ice cold shooting, while Hardy was driving and making things happen, he should've been in, if they are really trying to make the PO, they need to go with what what's working and not their fixed rotations.
Kyrie activated something in McGee, he's playing better, and Mavs need his size, he's not getting enough minutes, even though Powell stood his ground yesterday.
Biggest disappointment for me is Josh Green, he fails to make an impact next to Luka and Kyrie, he seems to play well only when one of them is missing, and is failing to make a difference like in the beginning of the season.

Josh is only a 22 yo and this is his first season with a decent playtime on the court, it's normal that he has ups and downs.
He need to learn a lot how play with Luka and Kyrie, there are only a bunch of games.

Niang and Melton 3s (plus the refs) destroyed us.
Not Harden or Embiid. They stepped up great when Phila was on the ground.

I would like to have a coach who let plays the hot players not their pupils.

Yeah, JVG pointed out how he tries hard and goes for OREB's, etc.. And that is something we're missing since DFS. Green actually was this energizing bunny throughout the whole year but it's like he suddenly lost this idea of what he's suppose to do or what he does best.

Like you said about Bullock. Hornets were straight up cooking him, so were the Pacers and he was even worse against Philly. But even i can admit that for the most part of the season he wasn't THAT bad. Hardy starting to look like he belongs on a good team and yet Kidd can't recognize that. Powell did his best but McGee is bigger and can rebound better, i would have loved seeing more minutes from him.

I hate these midget lineups, they don't work, yet Mavs insist with 4 guard lineups. At this point i don't know what to think anymore, honestly.

Mavs need a center and a big wing (McDaniels, OG, Vanderbilt, Jerami Grant types) to be able to roll out size on the floor.
The rest of the roster can be completed with MLE, but they need to get a top 10 pick to have something to trade, they have Bullock and Bertans contracts as fillers.

If we don't have the pick this year we have 2025 and 2027 picks.
Next summer will be important. Not more bull Nico.

Terrible 4th quarter but what are you going to do? You have one superstar who keeps geting into with fans when he's not taking vacations during the season or battling with the media. The other superstar thinks he's a lawyer and keeps arguing with refs instead of playing D, and the rest of the roster does not contain starting caliber players minus Bullock (despite how terrible he was yesterday). At least Hardy is giving a glimmer of promise.

Jerami Grant looks like Christian Wood 2.0 the more I watch him. Portland fans also don't think he's playing defense anymore.

I'm judging him by his DEN days :)
The archetype is 6'7"-6'9", long, athletic, not too skinny and light with some stength (main knock on DFS IMO).
