That's essentially 3 FRPs (2023 FRP, 2027 FRP and Josh Green) which is the asking price for OG. I'd like to see that happen.

Thats too much for OG imo. I like OG a lot but we cant completely blow our load on him. We need a starting wing and a starting C at the very least. Can't fill one hole and then not have any ammo left to fill the other hole(s).

SOmeone on the T&T proposed a S&T of Kyrie to Mia for Herro, and a Dal poster had a an even better counter where we do that but reroute Herro to another team for more assets. I'd love that.

They should do everything to get Nick Nurse.

Nick Nurse would be a wonderful get if attainable. But lUka needs to mature quickly and respect whoever the coach is

Yeah I think it's a personality thing. Luka coming in feels like he's the best player on the planet but doesn't have a Holger like Dirk to temper these things. That and suing his mom, now you have a 24 year old gazillionaire living his best life unsupervised. Just add guns to the mix and he's probably white Ja Morant.

Luka played under much tougher coaches in Europe, NBA life spoiled him, but this year's failure should've taught him some humility.

Agree.

Plus if that disaster means Kidd fired and an open eye for Nico and Cuban about our bigs situation then it's a win for the Mavs.
We have never been in the mix for the title, sometimes this kind of seasons aren't so bad.

John Collins is more and more appealing to me depending on the price. My main issue is his contract.

2023-2024: $25,340,000
$26,580,000
$26,580,000 (Player Option)

I would like the John Collins of 2019-20, but he has regressed some much since then.

Saw that on the Trade board. Here's a fun variation I came up that is based off of that. Feel free to flame away.

DAL Receives: Lowry + Caleb Martin + Sexton + 1 of UTA's million of FRPs
MIA Receives: SnT Wood + SnT Kyrie
UTA Receives: Herro

DAL gets a veteran guard in Lowry who is expiring and can be flipped later. Get a decent rotation 3&D guy in Martin. Get a firecracker guard in Sexton and most importantly a FRP to facilitate a future trade to bring a starting big and/or starting wing.

MIA gets their to do their last hurrah in the Butler era. That's a pretty darn scary team if it somehow works out. Also is risky as hell for them though.

UTA gets their guard for the future to pair with Markannen for the next decade.

Can he defend both SF/PF positions?

You can bring Pop-Phil Jackson-Carlisle together with Kerr-Spoelstra-Bud taking some assistant roles. It will not make this team a playoff team with that f'in awful Kyrie trade.
Win now trade that made the team go out of playoffs, out of play-in.

Cuban lickers always thinks the coach is the problem. Carlisle was the bad guy and now Kidd.

Bravo to make Luka depressed with sending his best mates in Brunson-DFS-Dinwiddie-Boban and not signing Dragic. Goran Dragic with just his veteran presence, would help Luka out mentally. But our FO are run by morons.

He's only averaging 10 field goal attempts per game. He's also been dealing with trade rumors for four seasons now.

Look at his 2019-2020 numbers.

He’s REALLY skinny. He needs to look at and study what Giannis did when he got to the NBA. If not he could end up like Porzingis. Very talented but too light in the pants to be an effective threat in the paint.

John Collins should be on Mavs targets for PF, if they can also get Capella it'll be great.

Goran as Luka's mental health coach from the bench.

Luka's idol, Slovenian NBA veteran. It'd make a lot of sense to have him around.
Luka's friends are all gone and replaced with lesser players. He has every reason to be upset.

We should do our best to trade with Raptors.

Raptors receive:

Irving
Timmy

Mavs receive:

VanVleet (a similar player like Brunson)
OG (one of the best defender)
Trent (clome of Timmy but younger)

(We can give them picks too if somehow someway they can absort Bertans for players they don't want from their roster)

If Toronto wants Kyrie, then they'll almost certainly want to keep OG and probably GTJ as well. I can see a swap of Kyrie for FVV + draft compensation as a possibility but anything more then that is probably wishful thinking.

Toronto must be smart enough to not want 4-year max Kyrie.

Seriously he killed his last 3 teams. Cant stay healthy for playoffs. His reputation is like top 10 player but he is not.

If this trade happens Toronto would not make top 8 next year. Kyrie cancer does not even worth it these days.

I dont think Kyrie will agree to live north of the border.
