Eh...it prevented the Mavs from scoring on two possessions, didn't it? That had an impact.

I guess. But for someone to blame this game on Rick because of him waiting for a 2nd foul to do something is stretching it IMO.

I think it's asinine to blame Rick for Haywood going 0-4 at the line. If I were Rick, I'd bring Mahinmi in the next game before Haywood. Hopefully, Haywood reacts with some hustle and intensity.

But Haywood should be shooting about 200 FTs (minimum) on his own time. Anybody, and I mean anybody, can make FTs consistently if they put enough work in.

o, it wasnt just that, it was trotting out the dumb 3 guard lineup when we are already getting pounded on the boards, its benching marion when he had a very good game, its leaving barea in for no apparent reason, benching butler most of the fourth and leaving haywood in. this is on carlisle, the players deserve blame too, but carlisle did not put this team in the best position to win tonight....... that said, we are still 19-5 and the streak had to end sometime

nope, its asanine for haywood to be in the game to get fouled when he did nothing the entire game to begin with.

^ You do realize that the regular season is all in preparation for the postseason, right? We will NEED Haywood in the playoffs, so I have no problem testing him in this game. He failed. You blame the coach for not giving up on him sooner, I blame the player for not making the challenge his b*tch.

Carlisle's job isn't to win every game; it's to prepare his team for the playoffs as best he can. Sometimes, that entails playing guys who probably shouldn't be on the floor. (I really don't expect us to find agreement on this, but it's a fact.)

championships teams do that, or teams looking to build once their season is over, every game matters in this league and one or two could cost u. u dont leave a guy on the ct in the 4th who had an atrocious game and for that matter, a terrible season

Let the Bucks have a little happiness.
When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is more important then the name on the back.

There is no excuse losing from +20 against anyone on our home floor. They deserve all the credit, still, obviously, you're not gonna lose from +20 if you don't do more than a couple of things really wrong after the lead. Our defense dissappeared right after that big lead. They locked us down, they're a great defensive team, night in, and night out. Looks like we're still not there defensively. That's a huge let down game for me.

Not much good came from that game. Nobody played well. Kidd let Jennings abuse him all night. Just too quick for him. Dirk couldn't stay with Illyasova, the Turkish terror. Chandler let slow-ass Bogut hit on almost ever shot he took. At one point JJ fell down trying to guard his man

But they still had a chance to win it because of Dirk's 30. If it wasn't for Haydud and his 0-4 foul shooting. If he just hit 2 of those shots they probably goto OT. Both he and JJ shouldn't have gotten off the bench.

Carlisle needs to consider playing Mahinmi for Haydud. Obviously. Plus, JJ playing deep into the 4th quarter was ridiculous. Poor coaching.

Kidd played good defense in the 4th.

This was a total team let down.
This team wins with jumpshooting and good defense and dies by jumpshooting and poor defense.
Against Bucks it died.

Need to find ways to get to the paint and line more often and stop trying to bury teams with 3s.
Need to get Chandler more involved offensively imo.

Haywood and DIRK don't communicate on defense. DIRK can't hedge a P&R to save his life and Ilyasova got a ton of easy looks because of it. Haywood was stuck to Bogut and wouldn't help on DIRK's man either. It was a recipe for disaster in the fourth quarter. They ran the Jennings/Ilyasova P&R to death.

Think that's the first time I've seen Bogut described as 'slow-ass' lol.

Anyway tough loss for you guys seemed like a mental letdown more than anything. Good luck on the season, I expect very big things out of your team if you can stay healthy.
