Mavs won the game at the end with their defense. Great win against a great team.

2-0 vs Miami
2-0 vs Celtics
1-0 vs Lakers
1-2 vs Spurs (1-0 with Dirk in San Antonio by 13 points)

Yet they don't call us contenders. Fine.

Damn if feels good being a gangsta.

We're paid our strength of schedule dues early, we're about to cash in. I remember seeing last game that we have the easiest SOS for February.

I love this game because we won despite those horrible refs. That is what I keep on saying about the mentality of the Mavs. Sure, we could have horrible refs like these, but in years past we would just give up and die.

I came in in the 3rd and saw Pierce knock Stevenson to the floor twice....Pierce still moving and called on offensive foul on Barea which took away that 3 point play Barea should have had.....Garnett fouling Dirk a few times with the big one being that steal Garnett got...Ray Allen's block on Chandler was complete crap when one arm is pulling down TCs shoulder while the other arm is pushing his wrist (nothing touching ball)...and a few other I lost count on.

Terrible, terrible refs and we still effin beat the crappy Boston team!!!

We are 5-1 against Miami, Orlando, Boston.
We are 2-2 against the Spurs and Lakers.

All 3 of those loses came without Roddy, Dirk and Butler.

So the Mavs are 4-0 against the Celts/Heat and I believe they have 7 all-stars between them so can the Mavs get a 2nd all-star? Oh never mind the idiot commish just named Kevin Love as Yao's replacement... what a joke!

The refs were fine. They let both team plays. I rather have refs like this than 2006 Finals refs or 2010 Finals Game 7 refs.

Ok we get you are a celtics fan, we have seen it throughout this thread but you have to be kidding me if you thought the refs were "fine". As others pointed out earlier in this thread, thing like Ray's block on TC (foul), KG's foul on dirk and then on top of all that, am i the only one who saw that dirty fool KG push the ref and he let it go??

They let Boston play. It wasn't 2-way. And if they were letting Dallas play, they would have called that block on Pierce and give Barea the "and 1." The fact was, the let Pierce, Garnett and Allen do anything they want out their and the calls went against us on both ends. Hell, they were about to let KG get away with murder on that one play where they blew the whistle late...after KG fell on top of Dirk....guess they figured it was too obvious to get away with not calling it.

Am I the only one furious with the way Carlisle is playing Marion? He barely played in the 4th in favor of Stevenson at SF, even though he clearly out played him. And in the two games before he got less minutes than Cardinal.

Before Butler was injured it used to be the norm to finish out the game with Marion, and now Carlisle prefers to finish with the scrubs or makeshift replacements. I mean this isn't a small lapse, we desperately needed his rebounding and defense. Even his interior offense is far superior to Stevensons, and he was having a good shooting night at 6-11.

Imo, Rick has completely botched up the rotation when it's come to managing the loss of Butler.

I think Peja will help that some, dyukes. However, I do see a clear problem....

There is not enough room for Kidd/Roddy and then try to squeeze Terry, Barea and Stevenson in at SG. Rick will most certainly play Stevenson more at SF, which, IMO is worse than playing Barea at SG.

I'm hoping we can use Barea/Stevenson to land an upgrade....maybe Andre Miller? IDK.

i turned on in the fourth and im wondering why stevenson is in, im thinkin maybe he was hot and they were riding him, then he proceeds to airball a 3, lose allen in that crappy zone, then i check the box and he has 7 damn points, rick is a moron, i still feel we are a piece away, maybe roddy and a jax trade, but even if we do upgrade talent i still dont feel confident that rick will use them correctly anyway
