Doncic looks very passive in the 2nd half.. kinda gassed or something.

KP has more block than rebounds. :dontknow:

At some point we're going to have to accept the fact that he's just not a good rebounder.

I guess this is going to be the Mavs closing lineup:

Triple Dirks, Wright, and Brunson.

I think has more to do with where he spends time on the court vs his skillset. He just needs to spend more time closer to the basket imo and the boards would double easily.

Luka played bad but still got triple-double and shot 10 from 19.

I wasn't worried about the outcome, Luka is way too clutch :D ... But the fight that they showed today was amazing. Finally RC realized that going with a bit bigger lineup would benefit them more. Awesome learning experience for the team.

I'll give rick a pass for these lineups right now but goodness they're all over the place.

I know it's only the second game but if Hardaway and Curry can't find a way to fit in the Mavs are going to keep getting killed by opposing benches.

Curry needs to start at SG and Wright needs to play point for the second unit. Wright played the best when Luka was out. Luka and Wright doesn't maximize together.

Well, we know that Curry injured his hand in that storm or what it was and therefor played limited minutes last game, so probably same today. But god, his shot is sooo smooth. Wright had a huge game, those 5 steals and a few of them 2nd half of 4th quarter was huge for this win

Nobody's talking about KP getting benched in the final 2 minutes? I'll talk about that then.

It looks like KP is playing under a strict minutes restriction. He played 29 minutes in the first game and again in the second game. I hope that's the reason anyway. Because if KP was benched for any other reason... I'd rather not think about the implications.

He was benched because his ISO plays killed our offensive flow.

The Pelicans played the 4th quarter without a center. I'm pretty sure the Mavs coaches were telling KP to isolate Ingram for the mismatch. If anyone is to blame for running all those iso plays, it's the coaches.

I didn't blame him, I blamed the plays. He also had 5 fouls and looked tired when he subbed out.
He ISOd against Holiday and that cost us 2 or 3 empty possessions weirdly enough. I think we have to work on more low post looks for him long term but anything in crunch time that takes the ball out of Lukas magic gloves is generally bad.
