He certain covers his ground and is hustling. He is becoming trusted to toss him the ball for a dunk and that's a good sign. I don't believe he will develops into anything more than a productive role player.

Loving Josh Green so far.
perfect role player and will bring great energy for Australian Boomers off the bench in the next olympics

Josh Green will be the beneficiary of Josh giddey and Ben Simmons play making.

Green has shown abnormal maturity; play the role given by the coach. I think Green will stay long term if the asking price is affordable. On next contract, maybe Green is trained as another Rudy Fernandez. I think Green has all kind of potential to become Fernandez with more defense. But the team doesn't need Green's playmaking. The Brunson situation could affect Green's role on this team. So far, I like the flexibility to have someone guarding 1-4, hit a corner 3, get backdoor/transition bucket at high assist-to rate. Dinwiddle even takes on Fox big time. That's something Brunson will not be able to do. This gives coach flexibility to clutch lineup.

I don't see too much Rudy in Green. Completely different players IMO.

Green is our best quick PG defender, last night when he took Fox the game changed. Bullock and DFS are too slow for those kind of players.
He has very quick hands and incredible atlethism but he is not so strong. The big SF ate him alive.
Amazing attitude and workers.

He has a lot of improves to do but he is on the right way.

I think he could become better than a role player, he has talent.

Yeah, Green doesn't have the WOW athleticism of Kuminga or Jalen Green, but he has very quick feet and hands, he has a potential of a lockdown guard defender.

He's got good acceleration and can quickly elevate too. His athleticism does wow me tbh, but it's not like a young Westbrook.

Both pass well. Both loves to jump high and make a flashy pass in traffic. Both see the floor and recognize opened teammates very well. Green has shown sign to be a good 3 point shooter. When Green has evolved into a great shooter. Then, it takes elite defender to shut down. That's Rudy like. It is good that Green is nothing closed to Rudy at this point. Then, the Mavs could retain Green long-term more easily.

Rudy was (at this point he is old) an elite attacker and shooter, he underperformed in NBA for lackin in personality and character.
In the National team and Real Madrid he played at high level who never reach in NBA.
Green will never be as good as him in the offensive end but he is just right now a better defender. Rudy can't guard quick PG like him.

Josh has a lot of improvements to do but he is in the right way... Last year was a DNP player.
I love his attitude, same face in any situation. Play hard and nothing else.
He remember me a little bit Kawhi, ok not at that level obviously

He's a perfect bench player. I still rather have Green than Bey.

What a shame Bane was picked 30th though... What could have been...

We (Australia) are relying on you guys to develop him. Key part of the Boomers moving forwards. Don't let us down!!

He is still very young, but he is contributing heavily to the team on the defensive side. He just needs to develop his shot, and he will be even more valuable. I see him as the second guy off the bench at worst. A DFS replacement at best.

Yes. A future DFS replacement. Eventually. DFS contract would take him to his 30s. Eventually the Mavs will need to move on from him and hopefully Green is primed to take on that role

Melbourne, me. Do you ever get bored with Perth being in the top NBL teams for like 10000 years in a row??

Actually, a little, yes. I mean it's nice to win a lot but can't help but think a winning season would feel more special after a couple of losing ones. It definitely beats losing in perpetuity though haha

While we're being satisfied with Green's energy, Saddiq has scored 51 points.

And still not really shooting better from 3 than Green despite just hitting 10 in a game.

Bey would never get those opportunities in Dallas.

I wanted Dallas to draft him, but it's done and you have to move forward.

Yeah, Green is Mavs player, what's done is done, BTW out of the 3 that got away at that spot, Texas native Maxey, TCU star Bane, and Bey, I'd take Maxey and Bane over Bey, something off about his game from the little I saw.

Be serious, volume matters a lot, he has made 10 3s in one game and Josh 23 in 2 years. Problem with Josh is not his %, problem is that he needs to be completely alone and have a lot of time to even shoot.

Mavs' biggest problem is having many players, who haven't any fundamentals for offensive game.

Yes, it's over, but Mavs can maybe draft a little different next time, someone who actually has some basketball skills.
