I mean that sounds very realistic but my god I hope that's not all that happens. Cannot imagine the outrage of the fanbase seeing Kaminsky as the main offseason acquisition.

The hope that I have is that we somehow get a decent starting center or someone that could potentially develop into one, NOT a stopgap backup-type center.

If Robinson isn't possible, I think guys like Claxton, Bamba, Jalen Smith, Reid & Hartenstein are the guys I would look at. If their asking price is beyond the taxpayer MLE, we have the TPE.

Fans always underestimate.

Norm Powell and Trent Jr each got $18M per. Brunson gets AT LEAST that much, I’d say 80 over 4.

The fact he wasn't traded tells me they're signing him come hell or high water, my personal preference is to S&T him with THJ for Grant, Ollynyk and Isiah Stewart, if DET is targeting center wit cap space and PF with 1st rd pick, this deal would make a lot of sense for them and trade Boban, Brown and Burke for a lower paygrade PG (Devonte Graham?).

Yeah that's his asking price. But i think Dinwiddie kinda reduced that price by some. I think Cuban still wants him back but i'm not so sure anymore that Mavs will be willing to spend more than what they are paying Spencer, which is around 16-17M. This team has a weird problem at the moment. A ton of role players that are paid large sums but no real 2nd star which front office so desperately want next to Luka.

Trent Jr is a steal at his price tag. Let the man shoot and get out of the way! Far better talent than our version of him THJ.

I do believe Brunson gets at least $18m per season.

I think he will get $20M per year offer from DET, but utilimately willing to give DAL a small hometown discount, and resign at 4 years 75M contract, which is similar to what DAL offers to THJ.

Another idea is to sign Brunson to a decreasing per year type of deal that is highly incentivized if he makes all star or all NBA teams.

2022 - $20M
2023 - $18.5M
2024 - $16M
2025 - $13.5M

It's illegal also, contract must decrease in 5/8% rate, and Mavs wouldn't do it, it puts them deeper in tax next year, while payaing him less in year they won't be in tax.

That offer doesn't make any sense for Brunson. We need to give him a respectable offer that averages around $20m per season.

He will definitely have suitors. Also I expect Cuban will advise him to go listen to all the offers before coming back to the Mavs. Brunson is home grown and Cuban takes care of those guys if they’re good. He will want Brunson to have other people tell him what he’s worth and then match it or better it. There’s no way Cuban isn’t paying him. Agreed. I know a lot of people hate on Cuban here but it's a fact that he takes care of guys he likes and Brunson is one of them. If Brunson walks, I doubt it will be because of money.
