No one can defend Jokic, but the rest of the Nuggets are stoppable w/o Murray/MPJ.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

A 2nd round exit is acceptable given the team is in no way a finished product. Just get some experience and upset some teams along the way.
I don't believe that possible 2nd round opponents, if Mavs finish 3rd, are much better than 1st. round opponents. Mavs will have solid chances in 2nd round as well.

It's very good taking 3rd spot, because you don't have Suns in round 2. Like teams are playing at the moment, nobody knows who will be 3-6th in the West. Mavs should take care of the business and finish 3rd and see who they get in round 1.
Agreed. If we do get to the second round, I like our chances again Memphis more than Phoenix. Assuming that’s who we’re playing.

Lakers (+13.5) @ Jazz
Feels like its getting close to eliminating Minnesota as a possible opponent.

Does anyone actually like the NBA Play-In Tournament? I think it is stupid. Teams who can't place in first half in regular season don't deserve to be in the playoffs. The only thing positive it does is keeping bad teams from releasing players at the trade deadline.

Agreed, we have no chances against PHX, I really struggled to remember the last time we did beat PHX already.

I like it a lot actually. It gives teams less incentive to rest players aka tank. It gives fans of teams like San Antonio something to still cheer for.

Re: West Playoff Watch
I could see a scenario where the Jazz, Nuggets, and Warriors all finish with 49 wins or tie on another number. Who wins that tiebreaker? And who would the Mavs face as the 6th seed in that scenario?

Jazz would be 4th. They would win their division because they 3-0 against the Nuggets. As division winners, they get the prize. I think the Nuggets would be 5th since they are 2-1 vs the Warriors.

I hate it. If they insist on it, they should do similar to what they had in the bubble. It should only be for the 8th spot, and have it where the 9th seed needs to win both games. Even further, it should be based on the # of wins that separates them, like if its 4 or less.

Whoever wins the division between the Jazz & Nuggets, so it comes down to their own tiebreaker
