AD, Klay and Kyrie are gone by the deadline, I'd be shocked if any of them is on roster by March 1st.

I'm not sure about Kyrie, my bet would be, he's not even on court by trade deadline.

I predict HOU would go after him.

Sure they would like to have him for cheap. Suns unprotected or Nets' 27 look pretty good targets for Mavs.

I question Kyrie's motivation to return soon in the light of new development. He has 3 year's contract and won't return until he feels like 100%.

Btw. What is Kyrie's relationship with Udoka?

KD could call him...

I would never have KD and Kyrie back together, both being old and injury prone. Having 1 is a gamble worth taking, having both no way. Rockets have good young core and draft capital, no need to force it.

Udoka was assistant in BK when Kyrie was there, that's why he vetoed signing Harden and chose FVV, he would need to approve of the trade.

I think we are making it too easy for ourselves. With the new cba it is really hard trading at all and we need like 3-4 trades to get rid of all of our problems

I know he was and that were times, when flat earth Kyrie was at his best. That's why I'm asking. Rockets look like a serious team, I don't know if Kyrie is a risk worth taking, especially after long term injury.

I'm on team tank, and maximize Flagg development, Flagg + another top pick are good base.
If Hornets offer Mavs 27 and Heat 27 1sts for AD, pull the trigger, gives you another year to tank and clear the books and target 27 off season for FA signing.

If AD is traded to the Hornets wouldn’t you want Cooper Flagg’s Duke teammate Kon Knueppel?

Everyone was. Not a single Mavs member did say something against it.

Only Dirk (whatever adviser role he had) did not agree and turned his back on the Mavs more or less last summer

Why would the Hornets take AD? They are going - again - absolutely nowhere this season

Also not sure what his market value would be. Very hard to shop him AND AD. So you better try go get rid of AD first

I think several playoff bound teams are watching the Mavs when it comes to Kyrie and AD (and Gafford). Miami, Milwaukee, Denver, Houston, and Golden State could all be buyers at the trade deadline.

If they trade AD for picks, they should trade Kyrie too, there's really 0 sense to have Kyrie to fight for play in spot for next few years.

I hope Kyrie can get some good burn before the TDL, but I honestly don't see anyone trading for him this season.
Him and PJ would be nice pieces to move in the offseason imo.

Trading PJ and the 2026 FRP could allow the Mavs to move up in the draft and get that second star.

There had always been signs that Harrison was underwater in his front office role. In the first years, front office executives around the league found it curious how difficult it was to reach him on the phone, league sources said, until more of those responsibilities were shifted to assistant general manager Matt Riccardi. Some trades were surprisingly pricy for the returns; others that likely would’ve been mistakes, like how Harrison attempted to deal two first-rounders for Kyle Kuzma, went unpunished despite Harrison’s best efforts. One team source recalls a document where Harrison placed Jrue Holiday within the same tier of talent as Nikola Jokić. While at Nike, Harrison’s role involved talent evaluation. But from the very first moment he was hired, several league sources say, there were questions whether those evaluations would translate to coherent team building.

Lindsey’s family remains in Dallas, a league source tells ALLCITY Network, which could make this job appealing for him, although possibly not until next summer.

That said, league sources caution how robust of a trade market, in this scenario, might really exist for Davis, who makes $54 million this season. The type of sale that Dallas has is more garage than estate.

how should we move up in the draft? we are already one of the worst team in the league. we just need to continue losing and we will get a top 5 pick

I just listened to Issac Harris telling how Nico confronted him about "Why shouldn't you be fired?", this dude has delusion of grandeur with little grasp of reality, I'm shocked how he managed to complete decades in Nike and 4 years of GMing.

Nico proved time after time he's an idiot

The Brunson fiasco
Signing Javale McGee to a guarantee 3 year deal with a guaranteed starting promise, then stretch/waive him.
Trading cap space to draft Omx, then stretch waiving him
Trading unprotected swap for Grant WIlliams
Trading essentially an unprotected pick to swap Grant for PJ (and I love PJ, but he aint worth an unprotected first)
Wanting to trade 2 firsts for Kuzma
The obvious one in Feb
Signing D-Lo
Resigning Exum
