Over/under 3 turnovers for Roddy tonight?
I'm taking the over.

I pick Mavs by 15, they want the 2nd seed, and they want to show the Hornets that they will destroy them in Round One if they are lucky enough to get them.

I hope you're right considering the Hornets are without West. I'm not sure 15, but I am optimistic Dallas will defeat New Orleans tonight.
Let's just hope Carl Landry doesn't sink his dirty teeth into DIRK's arm again.

This game gives RC a chance to look at what his potential Playoff roster should be, and also Roddy must have a good game tonite to get his confidence back up in time for Game 1 of the Playoffs.
Im guessing the Playoff Roster will include Caron Butler and will look like:
PG - Kidd/Barea
SG - Roddy/Terry
SF - Marion/Brewer
PF - Dirk/Peja
C - Chandler/Haywood
Stevenson/Butler

Dammitt Cuban. Throw the game and take the 4 seed!
I want the Spurs. Beat them in the 2nd rd and I'm good.
Win and play Portland most likely, although I think Sac could beat the Lakers tonight.

Roddy should play against oppo. 2nd unit to use his offence and 1on1 defence effectively.
cause easly assumed that its tough to play only against starting PG in limited minutes.
if RC can give him only that minutes, surely it should be used against 2nd unit.
so that id like to see Barea as a starting SG rather than the backup PG.
PG - Kidd/Roddy
SG - Barea/Terry
SF - Marion/Brewer
PF - Dirk/Peja
C - Chandler/Haywood

Only problem with starting Kidd and Barea at guards is that if we face Portland, we are up against Miller and Matthews, both taller and stronger. I agree that Roddy may be better suited to the 2nd unit, but I think DS or Brewer would be ideal starting guards with limited mins, Brewer just seems more effective in short spurts and can guard 3 positions

Peja out tonight due to personal issue.
http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/mavericks/post/_/id/4676370/peja-stojakovic-out-due-to-personal-issueSmall forward Peja Stojakovic will not be available for the Dallas Mavericks’ regular-season finale against his former team.
“He’s been excused for a personal situation, but he’s expected to rejoin the team tomorrow,” coach Rick Carlisle said before the Mavericks’ home game against the New Orleans Hornets.
I'm assuming this means that Corey Brewer will take those minutes, but you should never make assumptions when Rick Carlisle is your HC.

I agree with this ASIMO. Jarrett Jack killed Dallas the last time they played. I think bringing Roddy off the bench could help slow down Jack and disrupt the flow of New Orleans' 2nd unit.
This would also mean that RC would most likely insert Brewer into the starting lineup as SG and hopefully ignite a spark which could lead to a quick start.

Yeah Peja out should allow Brewer to play more. Roddy needs to have a good 1st qtr though, Im hoping he does.

Hopefully, DeShawn Stevenson can find his stroke with the starting unit. Glad to see RC make an adjustment and try to bring Roddy off the bench instead of starting him against Chris Paul.

At least he just got that and 1 on Okafor though.

DeShawn has to stand on the 3 point line and make Bellinelli put the ball on the floor. All Bellinelli wants to do is jack up 3s.

				@Ice32, ahonui
I think the Problem to put DS/Brewer in the starting lineup is there is no 2nd option on the floor.
It would be hard to battle with that offensive options in PO.
Kidd can cover SG well as Bogans does. I think its not a huge problem.

That's true. Our 2nd offensive option would probably be Marion.
