this game is up to Mavs starting 5 and Mavs 2nd option, Jose Juan Barea.

If Mavs could keep +/- 0 in those tough minutes, I think Mavs could win this game.

This game is do or die. No way we come back from an 0-2 deficit. Dirk needs to step up and someone from the bench needs to make an impact as well. Mavs also need to rebound the freakin ball better.

This is a must win tonight. I'm sure everyone will play with full effort, but the bench actually needs to make some shots, and Chandler needs to get some rebounds.
If the Mavs are able to win one on the road early, they still might have a chance to win the championship. Going to Dallas down 0-2 would make this a very difficult task.

A blow out loss is around the corner awaiting for us. Heat will win at least 10 points no matter what, things could go real ugly too.

The reason I say this is because usually after a tight game 1 victory for the home team, they will even come stronger in game 2. And I just don't see how Mavs can show up with an injured Dirk tonight, Haslem and Juan Howard will play dirty and try to aim on Dirk's finger. And Mavs will be scared coming down the stretch.

Mavs already lost, Heat already won.

Please bring up the Van Exel quote and picture though, we need it.

P.S. I hope the game thread doesn't get ruined by that Celtics fan tonight, Haywood even missed a dunk because of that guy...

I wouldn't call this a must win. But it pretty much is.

And I actually feel as confident as I did in any of the other series. Chandler needs to be a factor and we need Terry/Barea/Peja to give us 30+ points off the bench.

NOT a hater @ all... but the ONLY team to beat you guys 2x this playoffs was US.. and when you look @ it.. it was when roy played well.. The Heat have 2 Roys and the equivilent to LMA in Bosh.. not lookin good for you guys..

As long as Dallas stick to the plan of rebounding and playing better defense, we can win this game. And ij Peja/JJ and Terry get substantial minutes, then they need to produce.

Gotta win tonight and put the pressure on Miami coming to Dallas for 3 games.

Tonight is big, but I don't think it is a MUST win for you guys. I believe the saying that a series isn't truly a series until someone wins on the opposing team's court. I think Dallas has a better chance at winning on the road than Miami does. I mean, the Mavs beat the Thunder twice in OKC and they play great at home.

Prepare for a ton of whistles tonight all around.

Hate to say this, but what you point out is the inconvenient truth.

Chandler needs more than 4 rebounds.
Terry, Peja or Kidd need to get hot from 3pt line.
Dirk must draw fouls in the paint at a high rate.
Put Cardinal in to hard foul Bron and Bosh.
Marion needs to continue playing like Phoenix Suns Marion.
Stevenson needs to continue hitting open 3's along with his tough D.

Its a long shot but Mavs can do it. Go Mavs!!!

Peja scary on D & if he is not going early, hope Rick does something about it in time. Terry & JJ should be fine.
