This will be a very difficult game for the Mavs because the Hawks has proven to be a tough opponent (last three victories have come against Chicago, Cleveland and Houston). But I think it's a game we can win...

Kyle Korver is shooting 54% from three while attempting five 3-pointers a game.
He has the 15th most 3-point attempts this season. Pure insanity.

Real test this one, Hawks just do it well as a team unit.

Lets see how watching those videos has helped Rondo!

The Hawks are ridiculous in 2k. And that stat is insane.

We will get stretched in this game. Everytime I've seen Mavs and Hawks play, they've given us fits. They're a very good team, lots of shooters and ball movement. Good coach as well.

Excited to see the game.

Here's my take on this one.

Offense:

Set the shooting trend in the 1st Q to trick the Hawks into stretching the D.
Stretch the defense wide to give Ellis and Chandler spacing.
Parsons and Dirk will provide the range, assuming that they will cease chucking open shots.
This will also give Rondo open passing lanes and better chances of rebounding because Dirk and Parsons will be pulling the Hawks' big men off the paint. This also means alleyoop buffet for Chandler.

Defense:

Put Jefferson and Aminu on Korver and Carroll whenever anyone of them makes a 3. Stop any 3PT momentum at all costs.
Use length and help D on the passing lanes and blind spots from Mavs guards whenever the center of Hawks offense holds the ball longer than 3 seconds.

Since I'm a freaking noob in terms of legit bball strategies, this is all I can give.

We need this game.. Teague and Korver are playing great this season, so having Aminu and Rondo on them will hopefully slow them down a bit. Mavs hopefully win this game by a wide margin so the league will take notice. Prediction:

Mavs win 119-108.

This will be a great game. I'm honestly shocked that we defeated Houston without our starting PG Teague. Teague is apparantly a game time decision for this one but with the bar having been set from that HOU game I expect a win from us! Oh and looking forward to the new maverick Rondo on the court tonight! Good luck!

Love to see a few of Boston posters on our GT boards. I hate KG a lot and tend to underrate Pierce, but I like Ainge and Boston as a whole + most of their fan base are good guys.

Rondo's gonna go 10+12+10 rebs and 3 steals in 32 minutes on 4-9 FG.

Recess is over

Today Mav's return to the court seriously and stop playing pretend or fibs. I say this because it was more than clear that the previous game against the Spurs was a comedy that only sought to show to the fans Mr.Rondo in Dallas. The Spurs did not want ruin the night leaving almost all major regulars or key players resting to the point Coach Popovich nor cares that the Mav's would win by the minimum at the end of the game.

Furthermore; What a spanking Hawks gave the Rockets in their last game ah !. Kolver seems have well-oiled his rifle.

Today is a big test for the new face of the Mav's and I think tonight Carlisle did not invent much and will return to its normal rotation with his players, of course without Wright and Crouwder. The hole is still empty in a Center Position and I'm sure Smith do not land in Dallas for play coming from the bench. So unfortunately I will tell you tonight Mav's lose this.

Hopefully I'm wrong but I see no way they can compete the entire game only with good Guards and one Center with a team who play with taller players almost all the time. Dirk will continue doing his thing (a little more or a little less) like Parson, Ellis in the group of Guards so understand what I mean. The bench of Dallas right now is slack or wonky and just have some players which are the only ones who can be trusted (Harris, Aminu and Barea). Blessed and hopefully others will step forward.

So I think this ends like this:

Mav's = 109 - Hawks = 112

Tristes pero . . .

Thanks man. Honestly, I don't see how you can love Duncan or Dirk & KG too lol. Just obviously gonna get defensive over the best pf debate in the 2000's lol. All have solid cases, but ima KG lifer so my choice is clear. Just a great time period for pf's. Rasheed, Jermaine too. Elton Brand was killer lol. That was a tough time for pf's.

But I know some people are gonna call me, the cap & a couple others celtics posters over here band wagoners, but I'm just really happy for Rondo. Dallas is gonna be great & our favorite player is gonna be fighting for a ring which is best for everyone.

C's got a long long rebuild ahead, so my 2nd, 3rd, & 4th favorite teams are now Dallas, Brooklyn & Washington for obvious reasons lol. So yeah, we'll be around here, checking up on the fam & rooting you guys along.
