Value wise, its not bad but I wouldn't do it. Smith is our PG going forward, so Rozier doesn't really make sense for us and then that 2019 Sacramento pick will likely be in the 3-10 range of what looks to be a lackluster draft class... Im just not sure that's worth giving up Jackson/Bamba/Porter for.

Fultz, Bayless and #10 was a trade idea I saw a few weeks back and I think that's a pretty accurate package. Provides the Mavs with enough young talent to make it interesting, especially if Fultz can fix that busted jumper. I doubt Philly takes that deal though. Why would they? They already have a great team.

If Jackson or Doncic was still on the board; I’d do Fultz, Bayless, 10, and 60 for 5 and 33.

Just stand pat. If Lebron leaves the East then the Sixers and the Celtics can now make the finals. No need for major changes.

I dont see why someone needs to bear the penalty for paying Horford, Rozier and Morris and still give up the 5th pick. Try Memphis.

I see. Just thought I'd ask. That story on the wiretap said you guys were trying to make the playoffs this season.

Sixers need to improve to beat Boston. And it’s a big assumption LeBron is willingly going to leave the East for a team where he has no shot at any rings for at least a couple of years.

Although if the Lakers have already agreed to put together the Banana Boat and Bron wants to be around his off court interests more often...

Nah. The team looks too weak. The 8th seed this year had KAT and Jimmy Butler. We have Harrison freakin Barnes. No way we touch the playoffs in like half a decade.

Can’t do that. And just so you know, that 2019 SAC pick Boston holds is top 1 protected.

I personally think Lebron is at stage in his life where his family can make decisions too. His kid just enrolled in LA so hopefully there's that angle to it. Embiid/Simmons/Fultz should make a killing the next few years. So will Tatum and company. So I think the east will be up for grabs should Lebron leave.

Then it would be no deal for me, if just keep 5 and draft whoever is left out of Bamba, Bagley, and Jackson.

I know it’s too 1 protected. They got luck to get the #2 pick this year. I don’t see the Kings getting the #1 overall pick next year.

That deal is not enticing at all. Horford and Morris serve no purpose here at all. Rozier does not fit with DSJ, so it's a completely unknown pick for the #5 and eating a lot of salary. easy No

Very good point. As good as Horford and Rozier are, those 2 still probably aren't enough to carry Dirk's corpse to the playoffs.

just curious who you see Dallas selecting with the fifth pick? Can't see ainge trading Brown for this pick never mind including a lottery pick. That would be foolish on his part since brown, once viewed as a project, has certainly exceeded expectations but the value you are putting on this pick has me intrigued.

I'd think they'd target Bamba or JJJ, depending on which is available of course. I hope the Porter talk is just a smokescreen as I don't want him here.

I agree Brown and the sac pick is unrealistic, but I'd want brown and the 27th, which is probably also unrealistic, but reason being is we'd still have a gaping hole without a big man who can rebound and protect the rim, I'd see if we can parlay that 27th pick and other fillers into getting that guy, since the big men later in this year's draft are not enticing.

With the 5th pick I see the Mavs drafting whoever is left out of Bamba, Jackson, and Bagley. The Mavs need a young elite big and trading down from 5 pretty much guarantees they will miss out on that big man (in a draft that is top heavy in elite bigs). So the fact that the Mavs will be walking away from a major need any trade would have to be heavily favored in the Mavs direction. If that trade can’t be made just take the big man. Also I also don’t see Ainge making a trade like that, which is why the talk of Boston trading up to 5 was never a serious consideration.

At some point Boston is going to have to make a decision on what to do with Brown. Brown still has a couple of years left on his rookie deal but they are eventually going to have to decide what to do with him or Hayward. Both deserve to be starters and they’re not going to bench Tatum.

Assuming Hayward recovers from injury, then he is the man. They are already paying him to be the man and Brown’s contract would get you a lot back in return. Hayward would pretty much have to be gifted or traded for another big contract.

Actually in the ECF, they had Tatum playing PF and Brown at SF. So I think it can work out for them as Hayward conveniently slots in at SG.

I guess that could work. Have you heard what their plans are for Horford if they are able to move up and draft Bamba?

Boston wouldn't trade Brown plus other assets.
We'd be lucky to get Brown for #5/#33 and I'd make that trade.

The FO is obviously trying to build around Barnes, and Brown would put us a couple years ahead of the rebuild process.
Plus, DSJ/Brown/Barnes would be somewhat attractive to a FA.

As much as I hate the thought of DJ or Cousins, the Mavs could become serious PO contenders if they trade for Brown and sign one of those two.

Not the route I would prefer but if Cuban and Donnie are hell-bent on winning now, I could see them making those moves.
