Point forward, as we have been saying all along. At SG and SF you take away his playmaking to some extent which is his best quality. And he is the best playmaker on this Mavs team....

The most important part of BPM formula is (see BBref glossary):
- g*USG%*TO% + h*USG%*(1-TO%)*[2*(TS% - TmTS%)

This is a useless stat. Why do TO count negatively, but not for example steals/blocks/rebounds positively? And even if someone thinks it's not useless stat, it's pretty obvious that you can only compare players playing at same position. It is especially important not to compare offensive facilitators vs. the rest. I believe Doncic has probably around 25-30% assisted points. I think I saw Ayton being around 70-80%. Obviously the TO's will look completely different.

Speaking of strange stats, here is one where Doncic ranks second in the league:

Luka Doncic DAL 2.7 (1.53 + 1.17)

Donovan Mitchell UTA 2.67 (1.48 + 1.19)

Let's check that list after 82 games lol.. After 7 games is basically nothing. Still impressive but in my opinion a bit meaningless.

I have been really impressed by Luka so far. He is playing very well, better than I expected. When they let him run the offense almost always good things happen. He let the team back against the Spurs, now against the Lakers and they even let him have the ball in the last possesion. I think Carlisle clearly sees and knows all this, he is just experimentin for now.

Great job by Luka, he is getting better by the game. Its close but right now he would be my ROY. Hope he can keep it up...
