It’s likely he already knew that Kawhi was going to join the Clippers and that he was he was working on trying to get the team to also trade for Paul George.

It's more of OKC doing Westbrook a solid by sending him to a team of his choice or a team that can compete.

Presti not really trying to get a lot of value.

I'm not sure CP3 had significantly less value than Russ. Another win for Presti picking up 2 firsts. Paul isn't going to play out the duration of his contract in OKC, but at least Presti reset the clock on Westbrook's ticking time bomb.

Well that and did Houston actually have a lot more to give back in return? Maybe some 2nds and cash, but honestly, there's not a lot there to realistically take just as a developmental project.

Following a storied 21-year career with the Dallas Mavericks, Dirk Nowitzki retired after the 2018-19 season. Now, the Mavs icon is entering the next chapter of his career.

While Nowitzki remains undecided and is taking his time before making his next career move post-retirement, he seems to have a number of offers waiting for him. According to reports, one of which is working with German club Bayern Munich.

The club’s owner Uli Hoeness, in fact, is ready to offer Nowitzki a job if he “feels like working in Germany.”

Hoeness, however, is not rushing Nowitzki and said that it’s good for the German legend to take a break first.

While his family is in the US, it would make sense for the German-born Nowitzki to return to his native land and serve in some sort of advisory capacity with Bayern Munich.
Multiple NBA players have suited up for Bayern Munich over the years, including Maxi Kleber, Malcolm Delaney, Derrick Williams and Paul Zipser. Delaney, who played for the Atlanta Hawks for two seasons, won the Bundesliga’s Most Valuable Player award in 2014.

Perhaps Dirk Nowitzki will join the team’s front office in order to further cement the team’s status in its league following its recent successes. Of course, we all expect the Mavs and Mark Cuban to offer him a job too.

US barely beat Turkey by luck. International basketball is growing while US basketball is adapting to the shooting and tempo control game worldwide. Isn't the end of superman basketball? There's no more MJ, young LBJ and Kobe. Nor is there any dominant big like Shaq. This sounds encouraging to all teams around. Any team could make the champ; even if it's international style basketball. Mavs?

Yeah, no. "Superman basketball" has its limits but that's not a new thing ('04 Pistons vs Fab Four Lakers?). What's changing is the type of player who can fill that, and the necessary pieces around.

I don't really recall much about Jones's game. Anything stand out?

Anderson was a 30% shooter from deep in college until he posted a fluky 45% his junior year. In the NBA he's been... a 30% three-point shooter, and hasn't shown any improvement. I liked the pick at the time, he fit the range and organizational needs, but I liked even more that RC was ready to bench him his 2nd year in favor of undrafted rookie Finney-Smith. No use holding onto what was clearly a sunk cost.
