With US losing in convincing fashion, we could conclude that:
1. Popovich is grossly overrated. SAS would be out of playoff.
2. The age of superman basketball is gone. With LBJ ageing, international style of basketball could be the new trend to NBA.

The odd of Mavs making playoff is increasing.

I don't interpret too much from Team USA's loss.
Team USA had a lot less chemistry and no viable bigs on the team - it was basically USA's C-level squad.
At the same time I don't blame the superstars for not wanting to spend their summer playing FIBA ball so... I'm not really sure what the solution is. I also don't think Pop is overrated either - he really is a great coach.
Look, if Team USA had a starting lineup of Dame, Harden, Kawhi, AD, and KAT it would be game over for every other team.

The stars will come out for the Olympics next year but, yeah, something should be done about FIBA next time around.

But this US squad is still more talents than SAS roster.

Did they put JJ in a high chair or is Luka not as 6' 8" as advertized?

Dirk is said to be co-owner of the Mavs. Could Dirk be more successful than MJ? What's next? A statue with fadeaway jumper outside the new stadium?

The Mavs also signs slash-only-no-shooting PG with an explosive first step in Yudai as a camp body.

This feels a little like, "Hey big fella thanks for all those big paycuts you took. Here's a minority stake in the team for a comically low price."

If Cubes is super blatant about just basically giving Dirk a minority share of the team for peanuts I bet Silver will step in and investigate. :-?

Here is the article that came from.

I think it would be great if Dirk became part owner and worked with the scouting department/player development. It seems a waist for all of Holger’s knowledge to not be passed on thru Dirk. Dirk needs a young protege to teach all of Holger’s methods to. Luka in my opinion to too far advanced. Dirk need a project to work on for the team.

Cuban is a marketing genius and understands the "Dirk" brand and the value it brings to the Mavs organization, especially on an international scale.

He just keeps getting bigger. Should help with those rebound numbers.

People are always going to look buff in photos taken immediately after a workout. That's why these Luka and Porzingis gym photos never really impress me.

Now if there was a photo of them looking ripped while lounging in a couch watching TV...

Just hope his leg strength is increasing as well.
I also hope the extra muscle doesn't have a major effect on his shooting stroke.

Looks alright legs wise, when you're that tall it won't just show up like nothing on the big muscles like quads.
Good news is he wasn't that great a shooter before so hopefully it'll give him an extra 5% :D
