Dirk moved up to third in games played by passing Stockton. Would have to play one more season to pass Kareem and two more to pass Parish.

4 to go. Looks like the next game will be another milestone for Dirk.

If he had just set his feet and not hurried those last 4 shots he took he would have got it in this game. Also if his teammates had fed him the ball early in the game he would have got the points he needed.

Masterfully done. Why would he break the record on the road? Comfortable 4 points at next home game.

They were at home last night. I wanted him to get it in a win.

Awesome!
If you're asking me who the Mavs best player is, I'd say Luka. A guy like Delon Wright probably rivals his impact though at this stage in his career. KP may as well if he gets his **** together.

I happened to stumble upon the "lowest iq" thread yesterday and later when watching the NOP game, I couldn't help but think of it when ALL EYES were on Dirk. He passes up the shot, finding the open guy for a corner 3.
That right there was a prime example of "IQ". (2 minutes into the video).
We were blessed by Dirk.
P.S: do jump towards the end, when he talks about his kids favorite players. It's hilarious.

That was a great moment. It is too bad some muppets in the congratulations thread on the GD board are denigrating that achievment for some reason.

I have read the topic and in particular I saw two poor users. Basic.... derailing I guess.
It's really weird. Dirk has always been so laid back and never was someone to create any issues with anyone... so it's kind of weird to actually see that there are some active minds who "resent him" --- he actually has some so called 'haters'.
I laughed at the Utah fan though. He has no rings. His favorite player is associated with child exploitation. And his team have been dealing with a mess about racism. Yet... on a very benign topic he brings up games played --- a great achievment in itself... to try to bring Dirk down. And of course, Stockton/Malone were renowned for their longevity... so the guy actually brings it up against Dirk? I swear so many people really sleep on what Dirk has been like in the NBA.
Honestly... I personally do not care. I feel sorry for folks who have so much negativity.
You need to be awarded a medal for your battles on the PC board over these years.
P.S: ironically, Dirk did have one long standing thing with the jazz as you know and they're actually his favorite rival (most points against), but surely that's not the reason that dude on the GB made such a blatantly poor taste post given the nature of the topic.
