Jrue isnt a free agent, is injury prone and we have no assets for him, he also cant shoot

I think Jrue would benefit under a coach like Carlisle who loves playing playmakers, a lot of players come to Dallas and find a jump shot. Also asset wise Courtney lee is expiring and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Pelicans let Jrue go for cheap and AD is traded. Last year Jrue played a full season for once so here’s hoping for health. But yea I understand your concerns. But a healthy Jrue is a great fit next to Luka

Yes a healthy jrue is a great fit but they wont give him away for expirings, not even close

Tonight sold me. Fit isn't perfect for sure, but what a comback and much rather have him over Kemba if the Mavs wanna spend on a pg.

I'd take him a little below the max.

His defense is a poor fit but would allow us to place two defensive specialists alongside Luka, KP and Russell and no need for a PG next to them, so can go super long and switchy at the other two starting spots.

Exactly, now i think bkn matches but id offer the max asap, if we were dumb enough to max parsons and barnes dont see why we wouldn't max dlo who is a much better player, in a perfect world he and kp can be the 20 point scorers and luka can be the 18ppg guy getting 10 or 11 assist and 7 rebounds a night. All we need is to fill in defense at the other wing and rebounding.

Looks like he's grown up some from his Lakers days which is good. He's still a little cocky but I like that. If he has a decent playoffs for being his first time I'll really be all in.

Agreed, but no way Brooklyn doesn’t offer him everything he asks for. Not saying I want Kemba either (I’d rather just roll with Brunson at PG), but I put the DLo odds at less than 0 of him leaving the Nets after last night

Yeah odds aren't very good, but to begin the season the Nets probably did think they had to max him for 1 of the 2 max slots they will have. In the NBA circus maybe Irving and Durant rather play there...come on May 14th and July 1st

Maybe they match who knows, they deserve a taste of their own medicine since they like to sign rfa to offers every offseason, offer it early and make them make a decision

You can have 2 ball dominant players out there at the same time tbh. Just gotta make sure that you don't have 3. Well that and you gotta make sure that they play smart too and not just hero ball.

But it depends on how much the max is for a guy like him.
