I think it’s almost a 0% chance that he’s back. Either we package him with #37 or just cut him outright for extra space. He serves no need here other than filling up a roster spot

I think he will get traded. The Mavs are usually good about making trades when they clearly want to make one. I guess Stackhouse was an exception way back when, but I think they can find a trade partner for Lee.

If not, then I guess they stretch him, but I really do think they'll get something done in terms of a trade.

The more and more I think about it, the more I realize that the Mavs have to trade or stretch this guy. If he stays on the roster, then they better have decent cap space next season, which would likely mean the team doesn't extend Powell and/or they keep the powder dry.....again.

I'll keep my fingers crossed on a trade, but it's starting to look like waive-and-stretch is what it'll be for Lee.

I'll take it though, that's like $8 million in savings right there.
