Otto Porter:

To ensure the franchise continues to bolster the roster, Mavs general manager Donnie Nelson should consider trading for Chicago Bulls small forward Otto Porter this offseason. Otto is the perfect 3-and-D swingman to pair alongside Doncic and Porzingis. Porter is a career 40.4 percent shooter from beyond the arc.

The Bulls may be willing to trade Porter this offseason since he has a player option for next season worth $28.5 million and he is 100 percent going to pick it up after only appearing in 14 games for the Bulls this season due to injury. The former Washington Wizard averaged 11.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists for Chicago and shot 44.3 percent from the field and 38.7 percent from 3.

I think Turner and McCollum would be the best options because they didn’t have great seasons and likely wouldn’t cost as much as Beal or Gobert would. I’d stay far away from Hayward, personally

CJ McCollum does concern me because of his contract. I don't believe he provides us enough to turn the leafs making us a true championship contender.

2019-20: $27,556,959
2020-21: $29,354,152
2021-22: $30,864,198
2022-23: $33,333,333
2023-24: $35,802,469

Its a moot point. We dont have the assets to get CJ McCollum, much less Bradley Beal.

I like Otto Porter, but his injury concerns scare me. But he would be a really good fit and we'd have have four 6'7"+ wings in our starting lineup. I think we'd have to wait to get him in free agency in 2021 though. Not the #1 target but should be someone we look at.

NBA host Jimmy Crowther has now posted this ... curry / Maxi / Boban / Jackson + 2 choices by Beal ... is it realistic ?? they would?

Dallas probably has to add two 1st rounders to that deal. And I think the Wizards bite. There is a very underrated incentive for sending your star West than having him stay in Brooklyn or Miami and you keep getting torched 4 times a year. But that's just my opinion.

I apologize maybe I did not express myself well (I need to improve my English) in the agreement included # 18 # 31 ... do you think Beal would make us much better? I doubt that it is the perfect fit, not Beal's talent

I think you need to include two future first rounders to make Washington agree.

We don't know if it will work. But anytime you add a 30 PPG scorer to the NBA's best offensive rating, I think will do wonders.

How they mesh is the question, but Kidd, JET and Dirk worked well too. No reason this trio wouldn't.

Sekou Doumbouya for #31, anyone?
Sounds like a more athletic MKG as a pure defender.

Yes please.

But not realistic. Ofc Detroit doesn't trade their future prospect for a 2nd round pick.

Adams, Muscala, Nadar & future FRP for Kleber, Powell, Wright, Jackson, #18, #31, anyone?

It won't hurt 2021 plan while keeping an competitive squad. The Mavs unload all bad contract for Adams who provides an archor down low. Muscala provides floor spacing as a PF. Nadar is better than Jackson as a SF. I don't expect okc to be very interested in locking up Adams to max contract.

Then, Adams & future FRP for Gobert. Here we go:

C - Gobert / Boban
PF - KP / Muscala / Broekhoff
SF - Doncic / DFS / Nadar
SG - TH / Barea
PG - Curry / Brunson

Not a bad squad.

I won't. I'd take a chance on Bey who's likely available at 18. Bey could play both forward positions. Meanwhile, okogie is not really an upgrade over Hardaway. Unless we get serious salary dump, I won't consider this at all.

For example, James Johnson and Josh J.Okogie, #33 for Dwight Powell, Delon Wright, #18 may worth consideration depending on what's left on draft board.

Vassell or even S.Bey look great ... but if they are not, Okogie brings 1 level defense and athletics, he is very young ... who else would you look at in the Draft?

If both doesn't fall to the Mavs, some pretty good combo forward will fall. I think the Mavs either trade the pick or pick a forward in case it is. I am not very high on okogie. I'd rather trade Powell, Wright & 18 for Ntilikina and expiring contracts. The NYK should interest in gathering 1st. I don't think NYK really wants to turn Ntilikina as a starting PG. But they're reluctant to give in without anything in return. To me, Ntilikina could be the kind of elite defender the Mavs should have been looking for. Surely, Frank does not worthy a 18th pick. But unloading both Powell and Wright's contract should help the Mavs a big way for 2021 free agent runs. For example, Portis, Ntilikina & Bullock for Powell, Wright & Jackson with 18th should be very interesting scenario in case the Mavs missed ut all of Nesmith, Vessell and Bey. I am not so sure I want to draft a combo forward. Portis is a good short-term solution that actually help 2021 FA. So is Bullock. Jackson should be out of the league very soon. Bullock, at least, can play somewhat. As Frank is interested to find a home in Dallas, this trade could be quite interesting. I consider Frank a better version of Andre Roberson. Ntilikina defends Doncic very well this season. If Frank's shooting improves in a significant way, the Mavs might not be forced to extend Hardaway at all. That's a very good scenario for a Giannis run.

If that’s all it took to move up 17 spots then we would be fools to say no. Anthony Edwards or Lamelo Ball would be unreal next to Luka

I thought you were a Mavs fan :P :P

But seriously, who in their right mind would think Lamelo will be a good NBA player or even someone who you would pair up with Luka  From what i saw how Lamelo plays in some 3rd grade Australian league, Luka would kick his ass out of the gym.

And why would this team give up on Maxi and DFS, who are becoming an integral part of this team?

Also, did people forget that Mavs won't rebuild through draft anymore? Instead they will focus on trades and FA signings.

Of course I’m a Mavs fan, but let’s be realistic- DFS and Maxi arent likely to make any all star games or all nba teams in the future, and 9/10 times a trade is won by who gets the best player in the deal, which a #1 pick would almost surely become.

Lamelo looks good, don’t discount overseas leagues... He looks better than Lonzo at that age, which is saying something (despite how much people want to dump on him). Personally, I’d still take Edwards over Ball for what it’s worth though.

To have a potential big 3 all under the age of 26, all the while clearing even more cap space for 2021, it would be a no brainer

I don't like it at all. It ruins our chemistry and the depth of the roster. I don't know if we'd have the space to sign 2 PF and 1 SF.
KP/Powell
Grant? / ???
Crowder? / THJ
LaMelo or Edwards / Curry / Delon
Luka / Brunson

He's playing in a league where an 80yo Bogut was MVP :P I'm from EU and i can tell you Australian league is nowhere close to top EU leagues. I've seen him being compared to Doncic for example, which should basically be a crime :D

25% from 3PT and needs to have ball in his hands to do something. From what i have seen he's an inefficient chucker. You really want to play Doncic off ball?

Again, DFS and Maxi are way too good to give up for an unproven rookie that will set you back 3-4 years. You just waste KP's and Doncic's early years of potential playoff experience.

I mean look, I would usually agree with you on the rebuild, but i'm just repeating what Mavs front office already told us before.
