Dewayne Dedmon

Post#1 » by turcorox911 » Sun Jun 23, 2019 10:45 pm

Saw someone mention him on here and thought I'd give him his own thread.

I'd really like him on the team tbh. Can rebound, defend, shoot the 3. I'm not sure how good he is at PnR defense though. Anyone have stats on that?

With 2 7 footers out there the defense would be stronger at the rim. It takes a team effort and not just one guy doing his part. KP is an elite rim protector if he comes back totally ready to take up where he left off. You may not need a Vucevic or Gasol or another $20 Million dollar center. I would maybe add in another 2nd tier center like that Boban guy in Philly because they can both take up enough room to make it impossible to drive inside on us and that lets our perimeter defenders concentrate on stopping the 3 point threats we face. They can take chances and work on getting steals. Roby and Reaves look like they could be great on the perimeter.

He wouldn’t be a terrible fit, but i think there are probably better PF/C’s that this team could go after for roughly the same amount (Randle/WCS/Cousins)

His FG% dipped since he added the 3 ball which I'm fine with and has become pretty good FT shooter.

Guy is seriously underrated.

Typically, that is what happens with bigs who add a 3 point shot to their offensive repertoire.

Boston is also eyeing Dedmon. Along with other teams who have needs at C. So if it's a bidding war, I think we're out.

Horford it is then. I'd be happy with that.
