Mavs Twitter

Post#1 » by ejs78 » Sun Jul 7, 2019 10:09 pm

I recently joined twitter to follow Mavs FA. My question is who do you follow for Mavs news?

I like the the guys from Locked on Mavs better then the Step Back guys. I don't live in Dallas so I really don't know whos the best for Mavs news.

Thanks

Yeah I follow all these as well.

Fish and Wade seem peddle alot of BS. And I know the Step Back guys work for Fish.

The others do a good job.

I follow a lot of guys in Twitter for Mavs news but really Bleacher Report is also a really good source. You just have to select the Mavs as one of your favorite teams and it will show you tweets from many different people.

The Sports Day app also has a lot of good articles from local beat writers and local radio guys (1310 The Ticket).

Brad Townsend is the best and most accurate from what I’ve seen
Tim MacMahon and Marc Stein cover the Mavs really well too.
Mike Fisher is alright but super vague with his tweets so that he can’t get called out for being wrong

I agree with Mike Fisher being vague and ambiguous.

Fish has inside sources to where he can tell you if the Mavs are "in" or "not in" on a free agent, draft prospect, etc., and he's knowledgeable enough about the salary cap. But he's not a reporter like Stein or MacMahon, so his content is mostly just speculation.

He'll point out how he's basically been right about everything sports-related over the past 20 years, but yeah... vagueness and ambiguity helps that. So he's basically Dallas's Bill Simmons.

Yeah, lots of speculation, but he did inspire the Mavs to get Shawn Marion, lol.
