Pels are a deeper and better team than Washington. I’d think they could be a playoff team in the East even without Zion, I think Luka and Porzingis will have good games again but two or three spares will need to consistently step up every single night for Dallas to be successful, aka make the playoffs.
I will predict Mavs win this game but it won’t be easy. They will have to show up all four quarters.

Scoring inside is what we need this game the other team has nobody to really defend the rim. I expect a monster game from KP

Blazers, Nuggets and Lakers are the next 3 opponents after the Pelicans. So the Mavs need to win this one, because they are looking at possibly going 0-3 next week.

Love the pic lol.

I’m excited to see how Porzingis fares... New Orleans doesn’t really have a center.

Pels, at least based on the personnel, seem like a good defensive team. A good test for the perimeter players in particular. As usual the team's 3pt shooting will most likely tell wether the team wins or losses.

Interesting to see how Luka plays against Ball, Ingram.

Looking forward to this game. Favors could do some damage on the boards and inside, but want to see how Luka does against Jrue and/or Ball.

Excellent pic btw Dirk

As I recall Luka had some trouble against Ingram and Ball. With Jrue he had no issues last season. Hopefully he can cook them all tonight.

I’m going to attribute that more to facing Lebron than I would going against Ingram/Ball

This Pels team looked scrappy to me in the season opener against the Raps.
I'm curious if KP can get his scoring and efficiency up as the season progresses.
I've believed since before the season began that KP would the teams leading scorer - I still think that should be the case. Luka needs to be the main ball-handler and will probably be the teams assist leader while KP just needs to score. Hopefully Luka can find a nice balance between getting KP involved and scoring the ball himself.

I think controlling tempo, defending the paint (including rebounding) and not turning over the ball are the difference of the game. Pelicans is capable of pushing tempo with 3-PG lineup with Ingram, Ball and Holiday. I think RC has to make adjustment in the starting lineup.

I expect Justin Jackson to start tonight instead of Lee. Jackson should do a good job chasing around JJ Reddick. Also, this will be the game where you will fall in love with Delon Wright, get ready.

Porzingis on Doncic: He is unbelievably talented, just a natural talent.

I’m not big on having Lee and DFS out there at once. Wright or Hardaway should start for one of them
