Luka needs 2 more assists.

34 wins beats last year’s win total.

Man, they let Fultz do anything he wanted tonight. They better come up with something or Trae will score 70pts on them.

Yeah, I don’t think they can bank on him having a bad game like last time.

KP is starting to look scary good. There is no reason why he can't be a top 5-10 player in this league. He's finally knocking down his shots and his playmaking looks 1000X better than it did in NY.

Porzingis is starting to get back to being a legit 20-25 PPG scorer, a volume 3 point shooter and elite Rim protector. He's also edging towards 10rpg.
Keep this up and he's a top 15 guy in the league and we take a step towards being a genuine contender in the coming years.

Don’t go over excited, that is kind of game that we are supposed to win. If we lose tomorrow at ATL, it means nothing for today’s win. Young just got his career high in scoring yesterday, let’s put back the focus on how to limit his offensive game.

Of course it means something.
Every win is a win closer to the playoffs. We probably only need to get to 42.
Making the playoffs is the goal.

Interesting tidbit, "first time Carlisle talked about the standings with the players". Probably it showed with how fast they started.
Then, it got frustrating... it was too easy and they let the lead slip. Bench not helping in their first stint. Luka with his usual passage of play feeling wronged by the refs. Uh oh.
It was all good though. Short memory. Get back to just executing and making the right plays.
Then the moment of the game...
And Brunson. He helped at the start of the 4th with that mini run. I also liked THJ, he has a knack for hitting some shots that ignite the team. Professional performance.
Maxi is working on a faster release and driving... the NBA is not ready.~
KP sums it up
Double team. Uh Oh.
Maxi/Luka Uh oh
DFS is shocking me
Luka KP DFS uh Oh
Luka "always gets tired later in the season" uh oh
Luka may break a leg trying these. Unbelievable
And later
KP has anemia
I had to double check the date. I thought I was in a dream. Travelled back in time and Dirk playing.
By the way, a memory that will last forever, was this shot in Orlando
Any win is a good win. But yeah, beating ATL will leave you feel pretty good. Losing will leave you underwhelmed.

What stands out in these highlights is how well the team is passing as a team. In Dirks highlights there's THJ and KP with great kickout passes for example that they would've never made in a Knicks uniform.

May be I am too demanding, but I dont want DAL players be satisfied by just making the playoff. With that type of mentality, they will definitely be destroyed by LAL/LAC/DEN/UTAH/HOU in the first round. Win at ORL is great, but there are moments that we played badly, especially on the 3rd quarter. Luckily we have KP and Maxi carrying us in 3rd Q to early 4th Q and ORL has missed a lot of open 3 points opportunities the whole night

We have already taken a giant leap forward this year.
I fully expect to be dumped out of the first round in 5 as we simply do not have the defensive pieces to win in the playoffs.
But that's fine. Its year one of trying to win games. Year one of our two corner pieces and year two of Doncic.

Doncic always seems to go through a period of about 6-12 minutes where he's angry at the refs and basically checks out. I don't think the kid realizes just how good he could be if he didn't do that. He'd be even more productive and better if he just stayed focused. He's only 20, so I'm sure that will come with time.

He seems more comfortable now. Let's also keep in mind he had a break with the All-Star game so his legs are closer to 100%
