How many of Luka's passes in the middle have been caught so far? Way worst than usual on those.

What the hell are these announcers watching? Saying THJ has won this game for the mavs... he’s -15 right now... right on queue he lets his guy get an easy layup

Kleber makes up for the stupid foul with the clutch 3 for the win.

If Luka continues to shoot like tonight, we have a chance.

Luka was a stud tonight. Maxi and KP look like they have cement feet... I guess both are still working their way back from COVID/injury, but until they get moving better this D will continue to suck

Absolutely horrible coaching from Rick in the last 2 minutes. THJ and Brunson still can't pass the ball but got lucky from refs a bit. But any W is more than welcomed at this point. I'm hoping Maxi is slowly getting his shooting confidence back, he's almost the only guy Luka really trusts at any point.

Wow... THJ and Brunson +/- both -20 and -14, everyone else were positive. Luka in 38 minutes team highest +18. I don't usually pay attention to this stat but that's a huge swing in a close game like this.

THJ finished the night -20... that’s hard to do in a win... not really trying to dog on him as he’s played fairly well this year but still don’t get that comment from the announcer

That's why I normally mute the TV.

Glad they got a win, but that still looked pretty bad on defense. And they did try some work in the paint but not nearly enough. I don't think they can count on that type of 3 point shooting very often. They still looked poorly coached, but won on talent.

Still believe they won because almost everyone shot 3 ball well.. started when kp decided to stay innthe paint not on three point line..

Players themselves do not decide where to stay. It is not a gym game. KP staying out on the perimeter or inside is RC's and coaching decision. By design. And the design seems somewhat flawed, particularly on D. Frankly, they were lucky to win the game as there was little to no adjustment on D after the last game. Just better shooting. Defensively, all the players still need better communication, switching, help D, positioning, you name it. Team D has not worked well at all.

Even when the game was 18-2, I was worried. The Warriors can still shoot lights out. A win is a win and this will be a positive building block moving forward.

Exactly its not kps call to have himself staying beyond three point line all the time at the same time on how he react on his defense, his issue is that sometimes he isnt doing any effort in getting that long rebound, it isnt the case this game as miraculously he got some offensive rebounds down the stretch..

Yeah, I cannot even pinpoint the issue he has with rebounding, but ever since he came into NBA, he has had a tendency to box out on rebounds instead of trying to grab it himself. Which can often lead to the ball being rebounded by an opponent. He generally lacks the body weight to keep in front of an opponent.

KP is very good on defense if the Mavs play the 2-3 zone and he just stays in the middle. But when you ask him to go man on man D or he gets switched on to a guard from a P&R then that's where the problem starts.

Rick Carlisle and Dallas need not look too far for answers. They can just pattern it after Houston when they had a quicker defensive PF opposite Yao Ming. A Mo Taylor or Tim Thomas type should to well opposite KP.

I am extremely happy for the win, but I saw so many bad plays extremely poor defending strange coaching sheme that in my eyes I am worried or rather convinced that nothing has changed for this team and that problems remain.

Rick says, we cant be baited to their style of basketball and same exact thing happens again.

Imo very very worrying
