KP was good last night. Luka not so good. Luka is wearing down because they rely on him way too much. He needs more help that KP who plays 50 games a season.

Kawhi wasn't anything special either and PG was bad, but the difference was Clippers having 7 players with solid game, Mavs having only 3. And that is the case the whole year, those 3 + Brunson and that's more or less it. Hardly enough for something more. And we have seen what happens if both Luka and KP are out. Management will need to do something, sooner or later.

Luka being on rookie salary and management unable to build better team is embarrassing. Everything will get only more difficult. You will need to pay Luka and give something more to Brunson, not having 2 first round picks won't help either. At the moment the best and 3-4 best player are getting less than 10 mio together. Just incredible how bad team have Mavs built around them.

Strange game. If Paul George shoots that badly... you'd expect to win the game. Then it still felt like they could have won in a blow out if not for THJr. Felt like freaking Batum was the difference with some huge 3s.

The Clippers size is really hard to handle.

It was massively disappointing that they managed to hang within range and then all collapsed at the end from this point on:

Kawhi never had to be spectular. The negative for him was missing four 3-pointers. In 40mins minutes he turned the ball over one time.

It ended the Clippers back to back and they beat us easily.

If you look at advanced stats something went wrong when Richardson, KP and Kleber were together on court.

I've never seen Maxi with so many passing mistakes. He looked like a highschooler who couldn't decide what to do with the ball. Momentum shifts also occured when Burke and WCS decided to do some solo actions with KP on the floor. WCS shouldn't see any minutes when Luka sits, he's unplayable without him. Burke has a good performance once every 7 or 8 games, that's really bad. I can't believe Mavs don't run more plays through KP when Luka is out.

But again, Rick has to figure out better sub patterns, you can't have Luka play 5 minutes and then pray the opposite team won't go on a run. If they do so, you'll spend most of your energy get that deficit back.

RC cannot do much. Brunson is more scorer than PG, Richardson and Burke are useless without Luka. That's why you see players like Kleber and WCS trying to create something, because other guards cannot create anything for others. Mavs should trade Richardson for someone who can create or try to sign Rubio. CP3 or Lowry would be ideal, but Mavs won't get them.

Rubio would kinda be a realistic choice i guess, T'wolves are tanking hard anyway. But Mark said they like their team so i don't know if they'll make any adjustments. But yea at this point i would really try with Rubio in the 2nd unit.
