Just the Mavs luck
Mavs broadcast said Beal would be back for this game. Still listed as questionable though. Beal has missed the past three and he'll be headed for another game-time call if his status isn't determined after shootaround.

Davis Bertans (right calf strain) will be available to play on Saturday vs. the Mavericks.

Ish Smith (quad) will be available to play on Saturday vs. the Mavericks.

Lol of course they’re healthy for this one... and on a B2B so I don’t expect Luka in this one after the ankle scares last night.

Please don’t lose to Washington.

yeah I dont care how just somehow win this one. Was pleasantly surprised against the Boston and Knicks. Although both teams have some of their own struggles

The rotation is extremely short, 4 centers (3 now with WCS out) and 6 players for the rest of the positions, Mavs can endure one of KP/Luka being out, but not both, man did Trey Burke has drop from his the bubble form.

Unfortunately you can't consider Powell or Burke being part of a real rotation. They are horrible. When they play, it's mostly 4v5 or worse. Mavs are now 7-8 man team, if you count WCS. Even though, he hasn't been that much better either. Still need to see how Redick performs if he ever comes back.

Better not **** rest Luka tonight. KP is resting. Thrown away many games already due to unnecessary rest.

Why the f*** would anyone think starting Powell over Melli is a good idea?

Powell must be the greatest guy ever and no one can tell him he'll have to sit. Plus they gave me 11m per season, betting againt no one.

He for sure leads the league in flailing arms instead of grabbing the rebounds. Apparently that’s enough to warrant a starting gig when you’re on the Mavericks.

Powell knows better the system and the teammates, plus without KP, Melli has enough play time for shine, don't worry

exactly.. this really irks me. the guy has proven to be below average(to put it midly) despite playing alongside one of the best playmakers. also i just dont get why this FO is so afraid of signing FAs who got waived or bought out, while other teams who are better than us are doing it. signing guys on 10day contracts or for min, they are acting like this frontcourt is already championship material.
to me this is a perfect opportunity to sign someone even on a 10day contract, WCS is still out and we dont know when he will be back.

but ive only been a mavs fan for about 4-5yrs so i dont know much about history, can you guys share an instance where this move backfired? a time where they signed someone who got bought out or waived and it did more harm than good? cuz to me it seems like a no brainer especially when WCS is out, sign someone for nothing and if it doesnt work out simply let them go.

That graphic isn't official I don't think.

Re: Powell below average.

Powell was an elite rim runner. Even before Luka. And with Luka.

Lead the league in offensive rating two straight seasons.

Did we not watch the same games? I.e, Barea and Powell were dynamite.

He has had a nasty injury. So it is what it is now...

Hopefully they take advantage of Beal being out.

Russell Westbrook, Garrison Mathews, Deni Avdija, Rui Hachimura and Alex Len will start Saturday's game against the Mavericks.

Bradley Beal (bruised right hip) won't play on Saturday against the Mavericks.

Hopefully we see Green play a bit and he doesn't suck.

To be fair, pre injury, he was a decent player. 33m for 3 years starting this year (?) still is too much and is handicapping the team. The fact that he's a bad 3pt shooter wasn't helping too.

I must admit that I'm a little lost in the timeline. I thought he had one year left after this year, but sportrac is saying his contract started this year. Didn't they sign him before his injury?

I don't know man, next game is against Utah, I would've played KP and rested them both for 4 days.

That was one of the worst National Anthem renditions I’ve ever heard

I personally want to see the Mavs at full strength against a real team. It doesn't happen often and I would like to see if their recent record with Luka is for real.

After that, they're playing the Bucks and the 76ers on a back to back + the Lakers probably without Lebron. It's the game where they will be able to challenge themselves.
