Top 10 pick or 2nd round exit?

Post#1 » by Pinkyring » Fri Nov 12, 2021 6:56 pm

If you could have your choice of us getting a top 10 pick or winning a round of the playoffs what would you choose? I go with the lotto pick as i think anything this team wins in the playoffs is fools goal and the worse thing itd do is tell Cuban this roster is on the right track which it absolutely is not

Only way a top 10 pick is acceptable is if we get unlucky with health and safety protocol or luka goes down

I pick both the options... But neither of those are our destiny.

Obviously a second round exit as that would be progress.

Checking out with Wiz with Deni Avdija status could be more realistic. I don't think Avdija impress nearly enough yet. I think Avdija could be had for either WCS/Burke along with a pick. Technically, Avdija is a top-10 pick who's better fit compared to Marvin Bagley who also supposed to be available.

Go ask Kings and Wolves fans that question.
I'd prefer the competetive anytime, doubly so when you already have young franchise player.

No guarantees in the draft, stay competitive as possible and if there's talent to punt on in middle of first round then trade up/into the draft.

If we didn't have a Luka level franchise guy I might have a slightly different opinion

*edit: for perspective, Trey, Willie, and Frank were all picked between 6 and 9

If that pick is a 2nd, sure. If its a 1st, no. Need to keep as many 1sts as possible if we ever gonna land a 2 for luka

I would be satisfied if they lost in the 2nd round this year.

How can anyone ve happy if they don't make the playoff and pick top 10? I'm to pick 10th, I rather just tank and pick top 3, but it'll never happen.
