What do you all think of Hassan Whiteside as a free agent target this summer/offseason?

For a small minimum contract like he has right now, sure. He has a lot of faults but he's still a really big body that can rebound, rim run and block some shots.

Yeah, and the Mavs could give him a little more if people want to bid him up.

If other bid him up they can have him. If we can get rid of some centers i dont mind him on the roster at a min contract

Giving him the taxpayer's MLE seems fair. That starts at around $6-7 million per year.
But the Mavs could use that taxpayer's MLE on two players if they want.
Personally, I think they should just use it on one player though.

Hassan Whiteside has been mentioned on this board many times in the past. I wanted him in the past due to his productivity and salary. Now, others see his value, but Utah has been a great fit for him. He's a cheap double-double machine if used properly but he's also a libality.

For sure. But for the taxpayer's MLE he'd be a decent get, no doubt.
