Playoffs - WC Semis - G3 - Mavs vs Suns (Frid. 930 PM ET)

Post#1 » by Dirk » Thu May 5, 2022 2:38 pm

Hopefully no 0-9 start. And hopefully no turnover on the first possession.

Brunson and DFS will show off in this one and the Mavs win it.

"The mood is fine," Doncic said. "I think a lot of players, it's the first time in this situation. They've got to win four, so it's not over yet. We are going to go back home, our crowd is amazing."

4 win in 5 games against the Suns... Yes Luka, it's not over yet but...

At least 1 W for the honor. Only that.
Ok and kick some ass, don't get bullied another game please.

The Mavs came back and lead, so it's disappointing that they didn't manage to keep it tight. The Suns have an extra gear... just have to be able to sustain it.

Both games had bad starts. Brunson, DFS haven't showed up. Lots of fouls, bad turnovers.

We can't allow 6feet old ass CP3 bullied us in the paint in that way, after the second basket someone should have step up and hard fouling him (not for injury obviously).
That's PO basketball. Nothing should be easy.
Luka has this treatment all games.

We aren't prepared to play PO games, we have to change the mindset.
Luka said that in the post game interviene and he has right. We are a pussy team.

Powell, Kleber, DFS ecc ecc doesn't scare a mouse. Soft front court of the league. Embarassing.

Interesting that this series and the Sixers/Heat get 1 day rest while the 2 series get 3 days rest.

Yes but none of them allowed that in our way.

Last year they played against Lakers (no AD), Denver (no Murray) and Clips (no Kawhi) in the west, they were not treath for Suns.
And despite that they played more hard than us.

Crowder and McGee completely scare us, and they are mediocre punk. Even skinny girl Booker seems tough against Dallas. Come on.

Did they play harder or did the experience the Suns had last year just make them hungrier.

They swept the Nuggets and beat them pretty easily sooooo........

The Suns are far superior team to Mavs its pretty simple.

Yes for sure, Dallas is a no match for them. Clear.

But i want at least to see some hustle, they kicked our ass twice and we didn't do anything.

So far they did a horrible job defending, everyone needs to get better.

I don't know, maybe Maxi starts instead of Powell. But realisticaly what are the other options? Mavs are so thin with their bench is not even funny. Missing THJ has proven to be quite huge.

At this point we could try a drastic move like Boban for a little stint... Or Green in the S5 with Luka or DFS at the center.

For sure we can't start worse than the first 2 games, you are right we have few options but try the same things can only make same results.

But we will see, we don't have much to lose.

Or maybe start Bertans for Brunson.

Could be an option but problem is, Luka's USG% will be over the moon then. I mean, it's really, really hard to do anything with this roster. But again, Suns are an amazing team so it's understandable. You need AT LEAST someone like Gobert to cover ground in the paint before you plan further.

Think about it, Luka is averaging 40ppg 54% FG 63%TS and Mavs are not even close to winning. Suns are not playing good defense on him, 6 different defenders were guarding him in the 1st Q and it didn't help, he got his way, but Suns still had enough power and energy in the end to win easily.

Luka USG% will be high in all situation, the problem is that Brunson off the ball is not too good and in the other halfcourt is worse than Luka because his size.
At this point a shooter could be more useful than him, so with Luka on the bench he can lead the team.

Suns are better, no discussion.
We can only try to steal one game with a 3s party.

Nervous about the fourth quarter, but things are looking good so far.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
