He has basically gotten a lion’s share of the credit for Dallas’ defensive turn around this season.

Put it this way. I don’t want him to leave because I think he makes Dallas significantly better. Sweeney would not put up with the trash defense every player on Utah except for Gobert plays.

If Utah is going to try and stay relevant he’s good. If Utah is going to rebuild in the next 3 years, he’s not the guy.

We can't really know who is responssible for what within the coaching staff, but Sweeney is the defensive coordinator and Mavs defense went from laughable to very good, with basically only roster change is Bullock instead of JRich.

This team still hasn't figured out how to keep their best staff. Either players or coaches. But they are fine at keeping people who are controversial for the franchise. Sweeney has done amazing job i wish he would stay for years with Kidd and i also have no clue why would Igor want to go to that ego-centric Nets team. I guess he wants to smoke some weird stuff with Kyrie...

I have a feeling that Igor wasn't especially appreciated in Mavs.
