The Dallas Mavericks have agreed to sign Jaden Hardy to a multi-year deal.

The expectation is that Hardy's contract will be formally signed before he makes his scheduled summer-league debut with the Mavericks in Las Vegas later this week.

The good news about this deal is that Nico was able to put Hardy as an RFA at the end of that 3 year deal. Unlike Donnie with Brunson's deal.

Let's hope it works out and Hardy becomes a good player for us.

Marc Stein: As a tax team next season, Dallas is limited to offering Jaden Hardy a three-year deal rather than the four-year deal it hoped to extend. The Mavs had to withhold slightly more than $1 million from the taxpayer MLE to ensure they had the flexibility to offer a three-year deal. 1 hour ago – via Twitter TheSteinLine

Hardy gets an immediate chance to crack the rotation. This type of opportunity is rare for a rookie, especially for a playoff team. Let's see how Hardy cope with the challenges.

Hopefully he can utilimately develop into something closer to Jalen Brunson than Tyrell Terry for the DAL team.

I am going to be very interested in watching that game on the 8th when we play the bulls in summer league. I want to see how well Hardy and especially Bingham shows his skills. He scored 35 the other day in that pro am he played in. Three guys got on with NBA teams from Michigan state so that team was pretty good. He scored 16 grabbed 10 rebounds and added 3 blocks and 2 steals in his last game of the season when he matched up against Dukes Paolo Banchero in the ncaa tourney, you know the Paolo that went #1 in the draft so this guy has played against other elite players and performed extremely well.

He seems so smooth and natural with the ball... Unlike Green who is an athlete first.

So they wanted to give him that stupid brunson contract bit were saved by having given mcgee the contract so he will end up rfa after 3 years instwad of ufa after 4? Now only that makes the mcgee contract worth it maybe. Amazes me that the summer they lose brunson on one of those contracts they try to do the same again with someone they obviously have high hopes on

No, they signed him 3years but with the rookie contract and makes him RFA at the end.
