"It's the first game, we have a couple of new guys, we still have to work," Doncic said. "We have 81 games to go. We are going to get it right."

If our full team cannot beat that MEM team without Jaren Jackson Jr AND playing back to back after tough win in HOU, in our DAL homecourt.......... Hopefully I am over-worried.

That Roddy kid on Memphis has been getting owned all game so far. Almost feel bad for him.

Defense has been amazing. There's been so many shot clock violations for Memphis. Even Luka has been playing well on D.

Now just continue that effort and shut this game down in the 2nd half.

I felt bad for him, had to defend scorching hot Luka and be defended by him, Luka is insane this game, they were doubling and tripling him when he came back from his rest and he still managed to pass.
What a block by DFS on Morant though.
Defense wins draft lotteries!

If Wood keeps working on his game he's going to be great. But Dinwiddie looks really shaky as a pure PG at the start of the season. That 2nd unit could have some problems, luckily Wood is bailing them out for now.

That Luka block then transition alleyoop to Wood was special.

Good game! Luka is a monster and the Wood pickup is looking very nice.

I think that people have bought the Dinwiddie hype too fast. He has always been very average. He started good with the Mavs last year, but then came back to earth. He had some great games in the playoffs, but was bad most of the time.

He still has a lot to prove.

As for Wood, I can't wait for Wood to play 30min+.

So, since this is the mavs board on realgm, shouldnt we start to overreact and call Dorsey Mr Perfect or something? Hardy did look stressed when he got in. Suppose thats normal when u get in your first game with just a few mins left and want to show up for the homecrowd.

Just memphis tho, just as we always lose to suns we alwasy beat memphis. But this start of the season, those 2 games then away to Nola and then to brooklyn. Could easily been 0-4 even if playing good.

Nice win. Wood is balling right now and it's so satisfying to see Luka hit his FTs.
