Strange thing is that they did quite well in the playoffs, outside that Mavs debacle. Although I guess it can be argued that losing to the Bucks was a bit embarrassing with Giannis having been injured before.

Yea they are covered on all positions and they have 3 or 4 guys that can go off at any time. Obviously some players are injured but they are still very strong and a well balanced team.

Just wondering for the Mavs which THJ will show up this time. He's had some good games lately, i'm scared that he is due for a 0/8 from 3 game :-?

They blew it against the Bucks. And last year... they were odds on favorites to win it all!

In any case, it's good from a Suns perspective that they look solid again and will have another chance to compete for a title.

I know they blew against the bucks few years ago but last year our bench was shaky which hurt our chances in the playoffs. Payne had an off year, Craig came back but didn’t perform how he did for us few years ago, McGee had a good regular season but played poorly in the playoffs. Now a days a team might be better on paper but if another team makes a ton of threes (Mavs) then there is just no way the “ better “ team can prevail and win the series. Brunson was the x-factor in the 2nd round I watched him against the Jazz and knew he’d be a problem against us knowing we had nobody to contain him. Luka obviously as well. :x

I’ll give Mavs props they played well and tried making other suns players beat them while hounding Booker & Paul. I just hope Bridges & Ayton improved to a point where we no longer have to rely on our two best players to carry us.

Luka will likely let his son win this one as it's the regular season. However we should definitely prioritise winning this.

Suns are going inside to Ayton early. That's a blueprint for success that they failed at last season.

Excellent game so far. While it's early we're looking very fluid. Go MAVS

Theres something the Mavs have figured out about the Suns. I’m always extremely confident when we play them. Its like we strike a little fear in them.
