Cuban comments on PatBev podcast

I'm listening to Locked on Mavs, and they are talking about Cuban being on a podcast with PatBev, his Kyrie comments are getting a lot of coverage, but the actual worrisome comments aren't the Kyrie ones.
He's blaming last season failure on "players not sticking to their roles" and "not playing for the team".
I'm baffled by his comments, it's stupid for 2 main reasons:
1. If you're throwing players under the bus, when they are up for new contract (CWood), that's a VERY bad message you're sending to other players you will need to recruit.
2. CWOod and McGee weren't the reason for the failure, the reason was failure of preparation (not getting a 3rd guard which resulted in running Luka to the ground, he was done for the season after that NOP injury), and investing in the wrong people (It's not McGee's fault you went to him like an idiot and threw the TPMLE at him and promised him a starting role, when he was the 3rd center on the team you just beat).
Christian Wood played for the Mavs, when half the team was out with an injury he stood by Luka and Spencer and helped them have htat 6-0 run mid season while having gutted rotation, if you don't like him and don't want him that's totally fine, but he's not the player to make or break your season.

There is a culture of blame shifting on the Mavericks, especially with Mark Cuban and Jason Kidd, and this is by far the worst culture to have in an organization, Jason Kidd's job isn't being Luka/Kyrie friend, it's to coach them for success, if he's coaching the Mavs for that reason, then the success/failure criteria for him is whether Luka likes him or now and not whether the Mavs are contending or not.

If you don't want to admit mistakes, fine, don't throw others under the bus to protect your reputation and your coach reputation.
I hope in their internal post mortem analysis, they don't really discuss what they are messaging, but the actual problems.
