RS 23/24 - Mavs vs Pelicans (Sat. 830PMEST)

Ughh.

I guess most games are tough, but the Pels have some monsters on their team. It's going to take an herculean effort to not be manhandled.

Maybe we catch a break. Pels play in Denver tonight. Needless to say, it never feels like the Mavs take advantage when a team is missing players, so probably doesn't matter.

Pels have too much size (Jones-Ingram-Zion-Big Val) for small lineups, GSW was destroyed last night playing with small ball.

They are very good and better than the freakin Knicks.

I'm not so optimistic but there is always a chance if our guys play with hustle and heart.

I assume Luka and Lively will sit this one out too. Gonna be a tough one, but hopefully Kyrie, THJ, and Green stay hot.

Pelicans are listing all their starters as questionable for the Nuggets game tonight, to be fresh to the Mavs on B2B, they understand how important this matchup is, both teams are in the 4-7 seesding group, I hope Kidd sees this and learns how teams should navigate B2Bs and hard schedules.
Hopefully Luka and Lively are healthy to play.

The way Kyrie is playing Im not doubting the Mavs. They are playing with pace and if you watch them (Mavs) under Kyries leadership they play looser and faster . Im sure Luka and Exum and Lively are watching and seeing this is how the Mavs are going to win games. Get the ball and go and play a gambling aggressive defense .

It's hard to lose when you play good defense and THJ randomly decides to score over 30pts on efficient shooting. Same goes for Green. It's not like they have never played like this before and haven't also comfortably lost. It's all about effort and being prepared with this team and it is also very easy to say how many times this happens and how many times Kyrie and Luka just simply bail them out.
